Match Report

Gretna's caretaker manager Mick Wadsworth said after the match: "The one thing I can't do is be critical of anything or anybody today.

"I thought the attitude of the players, and their ability to stick to the strategy no matter what, was very good. We made it very hard for Celtic and we knew we had to. I thought we did very well.

"I have to give the administrators great credit because they've worked tirelessly, to be fair. For me, it's an incredible day when I'm saying that administrators have done well.

"At least now we can get to the middle of May, and salaries will be paid, and hopefully someone will come in and take the club over and make it even better for the future."

Celtic boss Gordon Strachan said: "We're lucky that we've got people who can score goals and that helped us today. It was unfortunate for Gretna because we got one or two wee breaks that we haven't been getting recently.

"It's just unfortunate that they had to play us on the day when we got the breaks."

Scott Brown will be suspended after being booked and Strachan added: "Scott's a good player but we do have a few midfield players.

"We can't ask people to stop tackling. If you're going to tackle, you just need to learn how to tackle."
