Match Preview
Triple boost for Gills Gillingham boss Andy Hessenthaler has received a triple boost ahead of Oxford's visit. Midfielders Danny Jackman (knee) and Charlie Lee (knock) joined defender and captain Andy Frampton (calf) in training this week. Jack Payne (knee) has also resumed light training but the midfielder is unlikely to be risked. Hessenthaler admitted after last week`s 5-2 romp at Torquay that he faces a selection headache and it remains to be seen if he makes changes. Striker Danny Kedwell remains sidelined with a toe injury, while strikers Adam Birchall (knee) and Dennis Oli (hamstring), defender Barry Fuller (knee) and midfielder Danny Spiller (ankle) remain sidelined. Victory over Oxford could lift Hessenthaler's side back into the top six. Manager Chris Wilder could name an unchanged Oxford side. Wilder has no new injury worries following his team's last-gasp 1-1 draw against Macclesfield and may call on the same starting XI. Long-term injury victims Tony Capaldi (back), Tom Craddock (knee) and Anthony Tonkin (hamstring) all remain sidelined, with Craddock the most likely to return in the near future. The striker has yet to feature for the Us this season but is now back in training and hopes to be back in first-team contention soon. On-loan winger Andy Haworth is also out with an ankle injury, though he is expected to return soon. Oxford will be looking to extend their run of eight games without defeat and consolidate their place in the League Two promotion places.

Match Report
Montrose makes impact for Gills Lewis Montrose scored the only goal of the game before seeing red as nine-man Gillingham brought Oxford's unbeaten run to an end with a 1-0 victory. Midfielder Montrose lashed home from 20 yards on the stroke of half-time, before Joe Martin picked up a second booking early in the second half, with the former being dismissed late on. The visitors were the first to go close when Alfie Potter skipped past Montrose's challenge before flashing a right-foot shot just wide of the post. Martin picked up his first booking for a tackle from behind on Damian Batt before Gills keeper Ross Flitney kept out Robert Hall's stinging effort. But it was Gillingham who broke the deadlock when the ball was half-cleared to Montrose who fired into the top corner from 20 yards. The Gills' task became far harder three minutes after the break when Martin picked up a second yellow. Robert Hall was twice put clean through but found Flitney equal to his efforts, but Gillingham, despite seeing Montrose sent off for a challenge on Asa Hall, held onto move into the play-off places.
