Boss keeping tabs on King
Gillingham manager Andy Hessenthaler is keeping tabs on the fitness of defender Simon King ahead of the clash with Hereford.
King, who opened the scoring against Torquay as the Gills won 2-0 at the weekend, has only recently returned from an ankle injury and his fitness will be monitored before the line-ups are announced.
That win has moved Gillingham up to tenth and just six points off the play-offs and Hessenthaler may try to launch his attack on seventh place by naming an unchanged side for the fourth successive game.
Charlie Lee is fighting for a starting berth after returning from a knee injury and West Ham loanee Oliver Lee is still looking to make his full debut as Gillingham look for a repeat of the 6-1 scoreline at Edgar Street earlier this campaign.
Hereford boss Jamie Pitman will be without Ben Purkiss for the match at Gillingham after the defender was sent off in the weekend draw with Bradford.
Purkiss saw red for two bookable offences as the Bulls failed to hold on to their lead and clinch what would have been a crucial victory.
However, the point moved United out of the relegation places and the return of captain Michael Townsend following a two-match suspension will be another boost to Pitman.
Midfielder Harry Pell was restricted to a role on the bench against the Bantams and is pushing for a starting berth after recovering from a knee injury.
However, Benoit Dalibard (hamstring), Joe Heath (groin), Stefan Stam (knee) and Richard Peniket (ankle) are all certain to miss out.
Gills late show bamboozles Bulls
Gavin Tomlin struck deep into injury-time to make it 5-4 as Gillingham edged a nine-goal thriller against Hereford at the Priestfield Stadium.
The Bulls twice threw away a two-goal lead and Gills keeper Paulo Gazzaniga saved a 90th-minute penalty from Rob Purdie before Tomlin struck late on to grab the win.
Hereford came flying out of the traps and on-loan striker Tom Barkhuizen won a penalty that skipper Purdie converted before then firing home himself to double their lead inside the first seven minutes.
But back came Gillingham and strikes either side of half-time from Chris Whelpdale and Danny Kedwell levelled the scores.
The visitors responded in fine fashion and 18-year-old Barkhuizen continued to impress as he bundled home his second goal in the 70th minute before Will Evans looked to have wrapped up the win with an 80th-minute header, restoring the two-goal lead.
However, Andy Hessenthaler's men refused to lie down and second-half substitute Charlie Lee stroked the ball home in the 81st and 88th minutes to level it up at 4-4.
The drama was not over there though as Gazzaniga turned away Purdie's spot-kick before Tomlin sealed and incredible win with a volley deep into injury time.
