Mixed night for Arizmendi Javier Arizmendi scored a goal at both ends as Getafe came from behind to beat Odense 2-1 in their opening Europa League Group H fixture. The former Real Zaragoza man scored at the wrong end first as his own goal a minute before the break saw the visitors take a shock lead. He then made amends by netting at the right end, and Pedro Rios fired in a free-kick eight minutes from time to seal the three points. The first half was all Getafe, but they were restricted largely to long-range efforts as the Danes got men behind the ball. Miku, on as a sixth-minute substitute for the injured Jaime Gavilan, was the first to try his luck, but he drove over the bar from 25 yards. Just before the half-hour mark, Mane was even more ambitious as he let fly from 30 yards but was similarly wayward. Odense goalkeeper Roy Carroll was finally called into action after 35 minutes but even then he barely had to exert himself as he comfortably held Adrian Colunga's long-range strike. When Cata Diaz fouled Peter Utaka on the brink of half-time, Henrik Andreasen sent in the free-kick and Arizmendi contrived to divert the ball into his own net. It meant the visitors were ahead without having had a shot in anger. Colunga fired wide in stoppage time as Getafe headed for their half-time refreshments wondering how they were behind. Javi Casquero needed four minutes of the second period to test Carroll, who turned his striker over the bar then came to punch clear the resulting corner. But he could do little as Daniel Parejo's corner made its way to Diaz, who headed across goal for Arizmendi to nod home and make amends for his earlier gaffe. Arizmendi went for another just before the hour but saw his strike blocked by Hans Henrik Andreasen, who also got his body to the ball when Derek Boateng tried his luck soon after. Colunga and Javi Casquero were wasteful, before Utaka had a rare Odense shot, which went over the bar. Carroll held onto Ivan Marcano's strike before Colunga and Miku tried their luck to no avail. But the winner finally came as Rios slammed a free-kick home from 20 yards after he had been fouled by Chris Sorensen.
