FT:Fulham 1-3 Sunderland: Sunderland are rewarded for a superb performance with three points as they took advantage of Fulham's poor defending at Craven Cottage.

90 mins

There are going to be two minutes of added time.

88 mins

Sunderland almost grab a fourth as Jones flicks it through for O'Donovan who has a go when he should have looked to the back post where Chopra was screaming for the cross.

87 mins

Brian McBride shows his frustration as he boots the ball away and picks up a late booking.

86 mins

Andy Reid looks out on his feet now and he is being replaced by Roy O'Donovan for the final few moments.

83 mins

Sunderland are now cruising towards victory as Fulham do not look like breaking through again and even their fans seem to have realised it as the noise level has dropped significantly.

81 mins

Fulham have now really given up on the game as even they I think realise that they have now wasted their chance of taking anything from this one.

78 mins

That really was footballing suicide from the Cottagers as they seemed to have got themselves back in it only to give it away again.

76 mins

GOAL:Fulham 1-3 Sunderland: (76mins) Game off again as Fulham gift Jones the chance to double the advantage again and he takes it. Terrible defending once more but good composure from the big striker.

74 mins

GOAL:Fulham 1-2 Sunderland: (74mins) Game on! Dempsey and Healy combine and the latter curls it past Gordon and suddenly Fulham are back in the game.

72 mins

In Fulham's final change they are bringing off the again disappointing Diomansy Kamara and replacing him with Hameur Bouazza.

70 mins

Stunning effort from Leadbitter as he allows the ball to run across his body before unleashing a right footed shot that forces a superb diving save from Keller.

68 mins

Bad news for the Fulham fans is that their side are showing no real sign of getting themselves back into the game and in all honesty it looks like Sunderland are coasting towards three points at the minute.

65 mins

Sunderland's defending has been nothing short of top class so far this afternoon as despite bucket loads of possession Fulham have not been able to break in behind the red and white wall.

62 mins

Fulham are bringing on another striker as Clint Dempsey replaces Paul Stalteri - it really is all or nothing for Fulham now.

61 mins

Sunderland look quite comfortable now and seem more relaxed since that second goal, this could be a vital away win for them if they can hold onto it but Fulham really have got to go for it.

58 mins

And at the same time Grant Leadbitter is replacing Kieran Richardson who is not all that happy about being withdrawn.

58 mins

Leon Andreasen is coming off here and is being replaced by international football goal machine David Healy.

57 mins

That goal has taken all the sting out of Fulham's support now and its the Sunderland fans that can be heard screaming from the terraces now.

54 mins

GOAL:Fulham 0-2 Sunderland: (54mins) Great finish from Chopra as he loops it over Keller and into the net and that could be game over. Poor defending from Stalteri but superb from the substitute.

52 mins

Simon Davies finds some room on the right hand side and whips a devilish ball in that Daryl Murphy manages to almost turn into his own net but Gordon makes a superb diving stop to prevent an own goal.

50 mins

Fulham have come out in exactly the same way they started the match with all guns blazing and Sunderland are going to have to be strong to weather this storm.

48 mins

Craig Gordon makes a superb save to deny Kamara as he attempted to flick McBride's scuffed effort home, although the Fulham man should have given the keeper no chance.

46 mins

There has been a delay of a few minutes to the start of this half for some reason - however we are no underway again here.

45 mins

At the break Carlos Edwards has been replaced by Michael Chopra for Sunderland - an attacking change from Roy Keane.

45 mins

HT:Fulham 0-1 Sunderland: Fulham have dominated the play but Sunderland have taken their only clear chance with that Collins header and they go in the happier.

45 mins

GOAL:Fulham 0-1 Sunderland: (45mins) Danny Collins heads Sunderland in front massively against the run of play on the stroke of half time and Fulham are in shock.

43 mins

Konchesky launches a long ball up to McBride, who heads it down superbly, and Davies arrives on cue only to see his half volley rise just a touch too high.

42 mins

Fulham seem to be getting a little frustrated with their inability to break Sunderland down and they need to keep patient otherwise Roy Keane's side could punish them at the other end.

40 mins

Sunderland are typically dangerous at set-pieces and Danny Collins almost gets his head on another here but it is just a fraction too high for him to make meaningful contact with this time.

37 mins

It would be unfair to label Fulham a one man team but Jimmy Bullard seems to be on a personal mission to haul them out of the relegation zone as he is absolutely everywhere this afternoon.

36 mins

The rain has started to really pour down here alongside the River Thames and that will certainly make the ball zip around for a bit, it also makes mistakes more likely from defenders though.

33 mins

Jimmy Bullard is running around like there is no tomorrow out there and is involved in absolutely everything for the Cottagers.

30 mins

Leon Andreasen picks up the game's first booking as he leaps in on Reid and prevents him forming a Black Cats coutner attack.

28 mins

In all honesty the pace of the game has dropped dramatically in the last ten minutes or so and there is a real lack of goalmouth activity at either end.

25 mins

The hosts, despite all their possession, are failing to create any meaningful chances and sooner or later Sunderland are going to have a period of pressure where they could do just that.

22 mins

Fulham are still the team on top here but Sunderland are starting to threaten on the break with the pace of Richardson and Jones causing a few problems.

19 mins

Fulham were lucky to escape there but they have responded well and Bullard hits another long range effort just over the cross bar.

16 mins

Danny Collins rises to head home Reid's clipped cross and the linesman has flagged to disallow it - it appeared he was onside and Sunderland are unlucky.

16 mins

Sunderland have a free kick in a dangerous position and will look to work Kasey Keller here - Richardson and Reid are over it.

13 mins

Now Bullard is central and decides to have a go himself and strikes it well but it arrows wide - Gordon appeared to have it covered in any case.

12 mins

Jimmy Bullard finds himself on the right hand side and whips in a good cross that McBride rises to head goalwards but he can only direct it straight at Gordon.

10 mins

Things have settled down a little here now as Sunderland gain some sort of control of the ball for really the first time in the game.

7 mins

Sunderland are yet to really get out of their half and the atmosphere is building up around the ground as Fulham fans get excited by their side's start.

4 mins

Fulham appear to have given Jimmy Bullard license to roam and he is getting plenty of the ball early on, which is allowing him to pull the strings.

2 mins

The home side have exerted some good early pressure here and that has seen them earn the game's first corner - which is easily cleared.

1 mins

Mark Halsey is officiating this huge match at the bottom of the Premier League and he gets us underway now.

0 mins

Sunderland: Gordon, Bardsley, Evans, Nosworthy, Collins, Edwards, Whitehead, Reid, Richardson, Murphy, Jones

0 mins

Fulham: Keller, Stalteri, Hughes, Hangeland, Konchesky, Davies, Andreasen, Murphy, Bullard, McBride, Kamara

0 mins

Sunderland won on the road at Villa recently so that will give them more confidence here and they have been pulling away from the other sides near the bottom of late with some impressive performances.

0 mins

Fulham look to be doomed in fairness, especially after failing to beat already relegated Derby last weekend but Roy Hodgson remains committed and in Jimmy Bullard they have someone capable of creating something from nothing.

0 mins

Welcome to Craven Cottage where a proverbial relegation six-pointer is the afternoon's entertainment as Fulham play host to Sunderland.

Match Report

The phrase 'relegation six-pointer' was coined for matches such as Fulham entertaining Sunderland at Craven Cottage on Saturday.

Anything other than a three-point haul for the home side will see them lurch even closer to the Championship, while victory for Sunderland would all but assure them of a second successive season in the top-flight.

The Cottagers are currently six points adrift of safety with just six games remaining after they were held to a 2-2 draw by relegated Derby County at Pride Park last weekend.

Afterwards Roy Hodgson refused to concede that relegation was now a certainty, but even the optimistic manager must admit that Championship football will be on the cards should they lose for the 17th time this season at the weekend.

Hodgson's arrival in December has resulted in a slight upturn in fortunes, but under his leadership the ailing west London club have won just two of 14 games.

A lack of cutting edge - Clint Dempsey remains their top-scorer with a paltry return of six strikes - allied to a leaking defence has left them with the second worst goal difference in the league.

However, Hodgson does at least have a clean bill of health heading into a must-win encounter with Northern Ireland striker David Healy available again following an ankle knock.

Sunderland manager Roy Keane was quick to warn his players that last weekend's 2-1 win over West Ham did not guarantee their Premier League survival.

Andy Reid's stoppage-time winner secured a second successive win and moved the Black Cats up to 13th place in the Premier League table.

However, Keane still believes the Wearsiders could be dragged back into the relegation dogfight should they lose against a fellow struggling side on Saturday.

With the pressure off, Sunderland have spent the week at a training camp in Spain so will arrive at Craven Cottage with their batteries fully recharged.

Only Dickson Etuhu and Ross Wallace (both knee) are unavailable to Keane after a difficult season when several of his most creative players have been sidelined through various ailments.

Top-scorer Kenwyne Jones ended a ten-match barren spell with the opener against the Hammers last weekend.

The Trinidadian was also on the mark with a late equaliser when the two sides drew 1-1 at the Stadium of Light back in October.
