Match Preview

It looks set to be a case of two in and two out of the Forfar squad when Livingston come calling with defender Andy Mowat and midfielder Martyn Fotheringham struggling for fitness, However Paul Lunan and Stephen Tulloch are added to the Loons' pool after spells on the sidelines. Having spent last season in the Third Division together Station Park boss Dick Campbell knows what is in store for Livingston. He said: "Livingston are a team that we know really well. They are probably favourites for this league as well but we have given them some really tough games over the past couple of years. "We were unlucky down at their place earlier in the season so it is a game we can go into with confidence." Livingston will be on the usual lines with left-back Jason Talbot and midfielder Keaghan Jacobs still out through injury. Manager Gary Bollan is expecting a tough 90 minutes from a side they know well having been in the Third Division with them last season. He said: "We know all about the strengths that Forfar have and know that we are in for another tough game. I cannot complain about the points tally we have but our performances so far this season have not been as good as I would have liked. "We are still winning games which is great but we are not matching the high standards we have set in the past" Bollan added, "Hopefully we can put on a good performance and pick up three points and I will have nothing to complain about."

Match Report

Forfar edge scrappy game A close encounter saw Forfar beat Livingston 1-0 in a dour game. Both sides had their chances early on, but there was little incident until the 21st minute when Livingston's Craig Barr fouled Bryan Deasley, and both players were booked following a set-to after the foul had taken place. Livingston striker Robbie Winters then tried a 35-yard shot but it was comfortably saved by Scott Gallacher and it took until the 72nd minute for the deadlock to be broken, when Forfar midfielder Scott Allan's sweet drive whistled past Tony Bullock from 25 yards. Forfar were not content with only a one-goal advantage, though, and with 10 minutes to go Dale Hilson forced two blocks in quick succession, but there was to be no more action.
