Match Preview

Only Campbell missing Iain Campbell is the only injury absentee for Forfar as they host Dumbarton. The 26-year-old left-sided player has been suffering with an ankle knock in recent times and, having missed the last three games, will once again be sidelined at Station Park. On-loan Aberdeen youngster Jordan Brown netted twice in a midweek reserve outing and could join his fellow Pittodrie team-mates Joe Shaughnessey and Nicky Low in the Loons' starting XI. Three successive victories have catapulted Forfar up the Division Two table and manager Dick Campbell has urged his players to continue their recent good form. He said: "We have played recently like a side that has the bit between their teeth and long may that continue." Dumbarton hope to have full-back Ryan Borris available for their trip. Borris will return to the fold for the first time since the season's opener, a 3-0 defeat to Airdrie, but midfielder Martin McBride has departed to Queen's Park on loan. Motherwell full-back Ross McKinnon is included in the travelling party after his loan deal was extended. Manager Alan Adamson has urged his men to show the good side of their game in Angus. Adamson said: "We seem to be incredibly hot or incredibly cold and we simply have to find a level of consistency with the good side of our game and stick to it. "Doing well at Forfar would be a great time to start."

Match Report

Sons edge past Forfar Goals either side of half time saw Dumbarton clinch only their second away win of the season, as they beat Forfar 2-0. Substitute David Winters notched his first goal of the season, turning home with a neat close-range finish to open the scoring after 32 minutes, despite having only just come onto the pitch. Dumbarton's dominance continued in the second half, and Bryan Prunty netted a fantastic right-footed volley from the edge of the area on the hour mark to give them their reward. Forfar did threaten in the closing stages through Jordon Brown, but they were unable to find the goal required to stage a comeback.
