Match Preview

Euan handed the gloves Forfar's summer signing Euan McLean will start in goal against Brechin. McLean is set to be handed the gloves as on-loan Rangers youngster Scott Gallagher is suspended as the Loons look to keep the only perfect record in the Second Division going. Defender Michael Bolochoweckyj serves the final game of his suspension, however Ian Campbell is available although the long term injured pair of Alastair Divine and Darren Brady remain out injured. Station Park boss Dick Campbell said: "Two wins out of two has been a great start but I am a bit long in the tooth to be getting carried away by anything. "There is a great rivalry between the sides and my boys know that they will need to work incredibly hard for anything they get from this game." Brechin have received a double boost with both goalkeeper Craig Nelson and midfielder Gary Fusco returning to training this week after injury. On loan Hibs defender Callum Booth remains out through injury as does midfielder Jamie Redman with manager Jim Weir telling his men that they will need to work really hard to take anything from Station Park. Weir said: "Some people may be surprised by the start that Forfar have made but I am not. "They have good players with plenty of experience and we will need to go there and put our stamp on the game to win through. It is a massive week for us with Dundee next so a win would be a great start."

Match Report

King earns Brechin point Forfar and Brechin kept their unbeaten starts to the new season alive as they drew 1-1 at Station Park. In a goalless opening, chances were at a premium with Rory McAllister looking most likely to score with two first-half opportunities for the visitors. Christopher Templeton headed the hosts ahead with just over an hour left to play as he got on the end of a Paul Lunan cross from six yards. A close-range finish by Charlie King stole a share of the spoils for Brechin as he dispatched a Neil Janczyk corner in the 77th minute. Forfar stay at the head of the Scottish Division Two table, while Brechin sit fourth.
