Match Preview
Gregan granted permission Veteran defender Sean Gregan has been granted permission to play in the FA Cup by parent club Oldham and will start for Fleetwood against League One strugglers Walsall. Goalkeeper Danny Hurst is still absent with a long-term shoulder injury so Scott Davies will continue. Striker Wayne Curtis will hope to return to the squad after recovering from the flu bug which kept him out of last weekend's game against Tamworth. He will compete with Adam Warlow and Gareth Seddon for a place alongside leading scorer Magno Vieira in attack. Lee Thorpe is another attacking option for manager Micky Mellon if he chooses to freshen up his frontline. Fleetwood have only lost once at home all season and will be hopeful of an upset against a side rooted to the bottom of League One. Manager Chris Hutchings has received mixed team news ahead of the trip. On-loan duo Ryan McGivern and Reuben Reid have been cleared to play by Manchester City and West Brom respectively, but Barnsley do not want Martin Devaney and Liam Dickinson cup-tied and have blocked their involvement. Hutchings is hoping to try and twist the arm of Tykes boss Mark Robins, although their availability appears unlikely for a Saddlers side in desperate need of victory. Defeat to their non-league opponents would be likely to spell the end of Hutchings' reign, with Walsall bottom of League One having won just one of their last 13 games in all competitions. Striker Darren Byfield (knee) and on-loan centre-back Andrew Davies (thigh) continue to be ruled out. The cup clash represents the last game for Devaney and Davies in their current loan spells, unless extensions can be agreed with Barnsley and Stoke.

Match Report
Mullan pegs back Saddlers Substitute Jamie Mullan earned non-league Fleetwood a 1-1 draw against 10-man Walsall. Matt Richards gave the Saddlers a dream start with a fourth-minute strike, collecting the ball from Liam Dickinson before drilling into the bottom left corner from 20-yards. Fleetwood should have been level after Richard Taundry tugged down Ian Craney in the box but captain Steve McNulty crashed the penalty against the bar. Walsall then had Manchester City loanee Ryan McGivern sent off for a two-footed lunge on Craney before the interval. Five minutes after the restart Mullan made an instant impact with his looping 20-yarder flying over Jimmy Walker and into the net. Walker twice denied Nathan Pond and brilliantly kept out Lee Thorpe's shot in the closing stages as the Saddlers held out for a replay.
