Manchester United travel to Denmark tonight to take on FC Copenhagen in a potentially decisive Champions League encounter

Match Report

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson blamed poor finishing for his side's first Champions League defeat of the season.

The Red Devils slipped to a 1-0 defeat at FC Copenhagen courtesy of a 73rd minute goal from former Aston Villa striker Marcus Allback and the United chief was less than impressed by his team's display in the final third.

He said: "I think we had enough possession and opportunities to win the match but you do have to take your chances.

"Maybe we were careless in our finishing, but I think it was a comfortable performance up until the goal.

"It just shows that in European football if you don't take your chances that can happen to you.

"We still have confidence that we can go through. We just have to make sure we concentrate in our next match."
