Match Preview

Millar boost for Falkirk Falkirk have a full-strength squad ahead of the visit of Stirling Albion. Mark Millar is available after a one-match ban so boss Steven Pressley has no injury or suspension worries. Pressley is looking to add goals to his side's previous performance against the Forthbank side. He said: "We played really well in the ALBA Cup tie and although we were beaten on penalties I was pleased with how we had performed. "All that was missing was a goal and we will certainly be looking to put that right in this game." The Bairns won at Ross County last weekend and Pressley added: "It was a strong performance at Dingwall last week and we need to build on that by taking another three points from this game." Stirling Albion boss John O'Neill will not be able to confirm his line up until a couple of hours before kick-off. Ross Forsyth has been ruled out through injury and midfielder Chris Aitken is suspended while defenders Brian Allison, Stewart Devine, Greig McDonald and winger Andy Gibson will all undergo fitness tests. On a positive note, international clearance has now been received to allow recent signings from the Reunion Islands Jeremy Judith, Yohan Mathis and Jerome Heeking to be added to O'Neill's travelling party. The Forthbank boss hoping to add a loan signing from a SPL club as well and said: "Whatever side we put out will take confidence from our result against Falkirk in the ALBA Challenge Cup."

Match Report

Bairns rally to sink Stirling Three goals in 19 second-half minutes enabled Falkirk to secure a well-deserved 3-0 home win over Stirling. The home side dominated the first half with Carl Finnigan being denied by the post and thwarted by Stirling goalkeeper Scott Christie who again saved well from Brian McLean. However, their pressure told in the second period with Marc Twaddle netting the opening goal on the hour mark by slotting home from Jason Marr's cross. The Bairns then made it two after 70 minutes when Marc Stewart latched onto a Kenny Deucher long ball to drill home from inside the penalty area before Stirling's Martyn Corrigan hit the bar from 30 yards. Jack Compton completed the scoring 11 minutes from time, converting Ryan Flynn's throughball.
