Match Preview

Grecians at full strength Exeter boss Paul Tisdale has a fully-fit squad to choose from for the home clash against his former club Yeovil. The Grecians picked up no fresh knocks or suspension problems during last weekend's 1-0 win at Rochdale, so Tisdale is unlikely to make too many changes. Veteran striker Jamie Cureton is likely to keep his place up front after netting his 15th goal of the season against Dale. A goal against the Glovers on Saturday would take the 35-year-old's career tally to 200 in the league. However, he could have a new strike partner with Daniel Nardiello and Marcus Stewart pushing for recalls in place of Richard Logan. Midfielder Richard Duffy could also start, possibly in place of James Dunne, following his 14-minute cameo last week. Yeovil boss Terry Skiverton could hand debut debuts to new loan signings Jonathan Obika and Shaun MacDonald. Skiverton, fresh from signing a new two-and-a-half year deal, moved quickly to sign 20-year-old striker Obika for the third time following the termination of his loan spell at League One rivals Swindon last week. MacDonald, who has enjoyed three loan spells at the club previously, has also signed until the end of the season. Midfielder Paul Wotton and defender Paul Huntingdon could also be added to the squad to face the Grecians. Wotton has missed the last two games with a hamstring injury but could return, while centre-back Huntingdon looks to have overcome a toe problem and will fight it out with Adam Virgo for a starting berth. Defender Luke Ayling will begin a two-match ban after accumulating 10 bookings for the season. The Glovers will be hoping to return to winning ways following two defeats and two draws from the last four games.

Match Report

Cureton milestone in vain Yeovil picked up three valuable points in their battle to avoid relegation with an entertaining 3-2 win at neighbours Exeter. Exeter struck first when Jamie Cureton latched onto Ryan Harley's through ball. His first shot was saved, but the veteran striker reacted quickly to tap into an empty net for his 200th career league goal. Yeovil equalised when Andy Welsh's free kick was headed in by Sam Williams, but his celebrations were cut short as he landed awkwardly and dislocated a shoulder. Exeter regained the lead when Cureton again reacted quickly to some hesitancy in the Yeovil defence and lobbed the ball over Stephen Henderson and into the net from Richard Logan`s clever flick-on. However, it was Yeovil and Dean Bowditch's second half as he beat the flailing Ben Hamer to a cross to head the equaliser and then tapped into an empty net after Hamer had spilled Jon Obika's shot for the winning goal in the 64th minute. Exeter had plenty of chances to equalise as Yeovil defended gamely for their lives, but Troy Archibald-Henville, Ryan Harley and Marcus Stewart all missed golden opportunities for the Grecians.
