Taylor missing for Grecians Exeter manager Paul Tisdale will once again be without experienced skipper Matt Taylor for the visit of League One leaders Peterborough. Despite undergoing scans that reveal no major problems, Tisdale has revealed the former Team Bath centre-half is still weeks away from a return to training. Troy Archibald-Henville will continue to deputise in Taylor`s absence. Jamie Cureton and Richard Logan are pushing for starts after returning from injury last week, although stand-in John O'Flynn is likely to retain his place after his brace last week earned the Grecians a 3-2 victory at Hartlepool. Experienced striker Marcus Stewart will once again miss out as he battles against back spasms, but Tisdale has no new injury concerns to contend with. Peterborough will be without record signing Ryan Bennett for the long trip. The former Grimsby centre-half came off at half-time last weekend with a knee injury and while scans have revealed the injury is not serious, he is facing several weeks on the sidelines. That should mean a first start of the season for Gabriel Zakuani, who replaced Bennett during the 5-2 win over Oldham after recovering from his summer groin operation. Winger Arron Davies is set to be out for up three weeks after picking up a hamstring injury against Tranmere. Chris Whelpdale is fit again after a thigh injury but winger Nathaniel Mendez-Laing will have a late fitness test on his knee injury. Full-back Mark Little is beginning a six-week lay-off after injuring his knee and midfielder Lee Frecklington (knee) remains sidelined. Former Chelsea full-back Nathan Ofori-Twumasi is back in the squad after injury and could be on the bench.

Posh hit back for a point Peterborough were forced to come from behind to claim a point after a pulsating 2-2 draw at Exeter. An entertaining first half was dominated by Peterborough, who looked dangerous every time they went forward. But when they broke the scoring on 29 minutes, it was through Exeter defender Troy Archibald-Henville, who stooped to head Nathaniel Mendez-Laing's cross past Paul Jones and into his own net. Exeter had a penalty shout turned away when Gabriel Zakuani appeared to handle Daniel Nardiello's shot, while Zakuani should also have scored when he headed wide from close range inside the opening five minutes. Exeter equalised nine minutes into the second half when John O'Flynn slipped in Nardiello and his shot rattled off the underside of the crossbar before crossing the line. The Grecians went in front when Liam Sercombe's cross found Jamie Cureton and he took one touch before ramming the ball into the corner. But their hopes of a victory were denied by Lee Tomlin, who came off the bench to send a low shot into the bottom corner from 20 yards for a deserved share of the spoils. Both teams had chances to win it late on with Seth Nana Ofori-Twumasi's shot deflecting just over for the Posh, while Archibald-Henville saw his header hacked off the line.
