Match Preview
Nardiello blow for Grecians Exeter striker Daniel Nardiello is expected to miss the weekend visit of Charlton. Nardiello is yet to recover from the groin strain that has seen him sidelined for the Grecians' midweek Johnstone's Paint Trophy win over Yeovil and the League One defeat at Leyton Orient last weekend. Fellow striker Marcus Stewart is still sidelined with a toe injury, leaving Jamie Cureton to continue upfront following his two-goal salvo against the Glovers. Defender Matt Taylor is a doubt after suffering from back spasms, but City's back line will be bolstered by Richard Duffy who returns from a one-match ban. Troy Archibald-Henville started his first game after nine months on the sidelines with a knee injury against Yeovil, and boss Paul Tisdale is expected to continue with him at the heart of the Grecians' defence. Charlton manager Phil Parkinson is sweating over the fitness of goalkeeper Rob Elliot. Elliot is still struggling with the back injury that ruled him out of Tuesday's Johnstone's Paint Trophy win against Dagenham. Ross Worner deputised for the cup encounter and could make his league debut if Elliot is unfit. New signing Paul Benson could also make his league debut after making his Addicks bow against Daggers. There are no new injury worries for Parkinson, but long-term casualty Kelly Youga is still sidelined with a knee injury that has kept him out since last November.

Match Report
Harley spot-kick stuns Addicks Ryan Harley netted an injury-time penalty to seal Exeter first win of the season as Charlton were beaten 1-0. The midfielder's fifth goal of the campaign came after Jamie Cureton had been fouled by Rob Elliot and Harley kept his nerve to send the ball over the diving goalkeeper and into the net. The first half was relatively even with few clear cut chances. Exeter were happy to try their luck from distance and John O'Flynn almost scored when he followed up Liam Sercombe's stinging shot, but the striker stumbled at the wrong moment. Sercombe went close with a blistering shot from 25 yards that flew just wide of the upright, while Charlton's Kyel Reid's mis-hit cross had Paul Jones back-pedalling. However, the Exeter `keeper did well to get back and palm the ball over the crossbar as it looked destined for the top corner. Charlton had the ball in the net on the hour-mark, only for it to be disallowed for a handball and Lee Martin shot narrowly wide after cutting in from the right flank. Sercombe again went close for Exeter and the game seemed destined for a draw until the late penalty drama.
