Match Preview
Stewart a doubt Veteran Exeter striker Marcus Stewart is a doubt to face his former club Bristol Rovers. The 37-year-old is still suffering from the badly bruised foot he sustained during the Carling Cup defeat by another of his old sides, Ipswich, last week. Manager Paul Tisdale will give Stewart as long as possible to recover in time to play against his first professional club. Fellow forward Richard Logan is fully fit after a groin problem and pushing for a start. Young winger Chris Shephard is waiting to find out if he sustained ligament damage in his knee while playing the reserves at Bournemouth on Tuesday. Troy Archibald-Henville is a long-term absentee with a knee ligament injury. Bristol Rovers boss Paul Trollope has no injury worries. The game will be preceded by a minute's applause to celebrate the life of Exeter striker Adam Stansfield who lost his battle with bowel cancer last week. Trollope is expecting a tough challenge against the Grecians who will be fired up to win after last Saturday's match against Dagenham and Redbridge was postponed. "It puts football in perspective," Trollope told the Bristol Evening Post. "We will need top-end motivation to go down there and get a result, but if we show the same commitment we did against Yeovil on Saturday then we are confident we can do it." The Pirates bounced back from their humiliating 6-1 defeat by Oxford in the Carling Cup last weekend when Byron Anthony scored an injury-time winner to seal a 2-1 victory over Yeovil.

Match Report
Stansfield remembered Exeter and Bristol Rovers shared the spoils in a 2-2 draw on a day the Grecians paid tribute to striker Adam Stansfield, who died from cancer last week. After a touching pre-game tribute for Stansfield, Exeter went in front when Steve Tully's excellent cross was headed home by Daniel Nardiello after nine minutes. However, Exeter were made to rue a glorious chance missed by Scott Golbourne as Rovers equalised on the stroke of half-time. City failed to deal with Stuart Campbell's cross and Jo Kuffour was allowed to turn and hook the ball into the corner. Exeter were reduced to 10 men shortly after half-time when Richard Duffy saw red for bringing down Will Hoskins and Hoskins then scrambled the ball home from close range to give Rovers the lead as Exeter again failed to deal with a cross into their box after 54 minutes. However, Exeter came back strong and levelled things up when John O'Flynn notched his first goal for the club from the penalty spot after a foul on James Dunne with 15 minutes remaining.
