Match Preview

Moyes demands more goals David Moyes hopes Everton can find the goals to match their level of play when they meet Norwich at Goodison Park. After a flying start to the season, the Toffees have won only one of their last six games and lost to Reading last week as the Royals picked up their first Barclays Premier League victory of the season. During that spell Everton have scored 10 goals but conceded just as many, and Moyes is keen to get the balance right to ensure his side get the results they deserve. The Scot said: "There's been a couple of games where we maybe should have scored more but we've also got to make sure when we're not scoring that we don't concede. "Our play has been good enough to have merited more goals and everybody's got to make sure they chip in, the goals have got to come from all departments. "I'm going out to score and I'm going out to try to win. The best teams get the balance exactly right. But I would still quite happily settle for winning games 1-0, because the job is to win, that's always the priority." The injury-hit Toffees could welcome back midfielders Kevin Mirallas and Darron Gibson. Mirallas missed last weekend's defeat by the Royals with a hamstring problem while Gibson has been out since the start of September with a hamstring injury but played for Everton's under-21 side earlier this week. Captain Phil Neville is unlikely to play again this year following knee surgery while key midfielder Marouane Fellaini is suspended. Striker Victor Anichebe (hamstring) and full-back Tony Hibbert (calf) are doubtful and Everton boss David Moyes has recalled teenage midfielder Ross Barkley from a loan spell at Sheffield Wednesday as cover. Chris Hughton is relishing the chance to pit his Norwich side against an Everton team he believes to be the benchmark for those other than the big-money clubs in the Barclays Premier League. The Norwich manager takes his side to Goodison Park on the back of an impressive 1-0 win against Manchester United at Carrow Road last weekend. Hughton admits he takes inspiration from the fact that Everton manager David Moyes, on a tight budget, has been so consistent in his Premier League challenge over the past decade. Everton currently lie fifth in the league on 20 points, six points ahead of Norwich in 13th place. Hughton said: "Everton have managed to sustain real challenging positions in this league for a number of years. "It is a club run very well. They have a great record of bringing players through. They have also added real quality players to their squad. They have a great work ethic and a manager who gives them stability. "I know David quite well. We all know they haven't had the type of budgets that your Uniteds and Citys and Chelseas and Arsenals have had and that makes it tough for him, but to be consistently where they are in the Premier League speaks volumes for them as a club and for David as a manager. "They are a real threat going forward, particularly at home. They have a lot of players in the team capable of creating and scoring goals and we will have to be at our best." John Ruddy looks set to make the trip to his former club after making good progress with the knee injury he suffered against Manchester United last weekend. Fullback Russell Martin is back in training after recovering from his back injury and could also feature against Everton. Defender Michael Turner, however, is described as "touch and go" by Hughton as he tries to shrug off a shoulder problem.
