Elgin suffer double blow
Elgin will be without Paul Kaczan and Craig Frizzell when Montrose visit Borough Briggs.
Kaczan is suffering from a back injury, while Frizzell has a stomach problem and the pair join Barry Wilson and Blair Lawrie on the sidelines.
However, manager Ross Jack has included striker Paul Miller in his squad for the first time since he returned to the club after a spell working with the Royal Air Force in the Falkland Islands.
Jack is hoping that his forwards start hitting the net on a more regular basis, saying: "We are creating a lot of chances but not taking them.
"At Berwick we failed to kill the game off and dropped points. Hopefully we can put that right against Montrose, although they are on a good run just now."
Montrose boss Ray Farningham has no injury or suspension worries for the second game running as his side head north to face Elgin.
The Gable Endies are in their best form of the season with three wins in their last four games and Farningham is no mood to see standards fall away.
"Elgin will rightly be favourites for this game but we are going there with a bit of confidence. It would be great if we can build on what we have done and go on the type of run that lifts you a few places up the table," he said.
"It is great that we have managed to get some wins behind us and the players deserve great credit for that."
O`Donoghue at the double for City
Ross O'Donoghue and Jason Crooks scored their first goals of the season as Elgin beat Montrose 3-1 at Borough Briggs.
After Brian Cameron had gone close for Elgin early on, O`Donoghue struck two quickfire goals to put the hosts in control.
The first was a neat finish into the bottom corner from the edge of the area after 10 minutes. The second a 30-yard effort seven minutes later which flew over goalkeeper Michael Andrews.
Scott Johnston pulled a goal back for Montrose with a rising 20-yard shot just before the half-hour mark, and only a fingertip save from Alexander Clark to divert Sean Pierce`s shot around a post prevented an equaliser before the break.
Andrews parried a header from Stuart Leslie before Craig Gunn followed up and hit the crossbar from seven yards out.
Crooks restored Elgin`s two-goal advantage in the 66th minute, steering home after Mark Nicolson`s shot came his way.
Johnston could have pulled another goal back for the visitors but he shot wide with 11 minutes remaining.
