Elgin could see Frizzell out
Elgin City boss Ross Jack could be without nine players for the visit of Berwick Rangers.
Goalkeeper John Calder, Jamie Duff and Jake Inglis are all ruled out through knocks, while work commitments are keeping out Blair Lawrie and Paul Miller, and Steven Edwards continues to be unavailable due to family commitments.
David Niven, Craig Frizzell and Mark Nicolson all need to pass fitness tests before they can be involved, but Jack is hoping for a result to match his side's recent displays.
"Our recent run of results has been disappointing but we are playing some really good stuff," he said. "We are making five or six chances per game through some great play but are not taking them and that is costing us. Hopefully we can put that right against Berwick but they will not be coming up here to make it easy."
Berwick Rangers manager Jimmy Crease has ruled out the injured quartet of Elliot Smith, Craig O'Reilly, Fraser McLaren and Damon Gray.
Chris McLeod and Steven Notman are also doubtful after picking up knocks earlier in the week.
The Shielfield players are playing for their futures and have the chance to secure a deal for next season by impressing at Borough Briggs.
"I had made my mind up a couple of weeks ago about which players to offer new deals to but having watched our last few games I have gone back to a blank piece of paper," said Crease.
"I will use this game to start again as there still contracts to be won and the players that impress will have the first offers."
Stunning fightback hands Elgin win
Elgin came from behind to end a run of five straight defeats with a thrilling 3-2 win over mid-table Berwick.
Berwick stormed into a 13th-minute lead against the run of play when Paul Currie's spectacular 30-yard drive flew into the top corner.
Kevin Gordon then missed a glorious chance to double the visitors' lead before Currie grabbed a second with a smart effort from just inside the area.
After Currie fouled Brian Cameron, Jason Crooks gave the home side hope with a well-taken 37th-minute penalty before Neil MacDonald scored his first of the season from close range just after half-time.
Barry Wilson and Crooks wasted good chances to give Elgin the lead before defender Paul Kazcan sealed the comeback when he fired past Berwick goalkeeper Ian McCaldon 11 minutes from time.
