Elgin boss in selection dilemma Elgin City host Annan with manager Ross Jack missing a clutch of players. Neil MacDonald, David Niven and Paul Kazcan are all out through suspension and Paul Miller is away on RAF duty. Jamie Duff, Craig Frizzel, Mark Nicolson and Barry Wilson are all doubtful, but recent signing Blair Lawrie is available after work commitments kept him out at Berwick in midweek. Jack wants to get back into the promotion pack as soon as possible saying: "This is a game that would be great to win as it gets us back right on everyone's coattails. "It is not the crucial part of the season yet but it is not far away." Annan make the long trip north without striker Graeme Bell due to work commitments. They could also be without John MacBeth, Neil Macfarlane and Sean O'Connor, who are all struggling with injuries. The Galabank men have not defeated the Borough Briggs side in seven attempts in the league and manager Harry Cairney is determined to put that right and enhance his own side's promotion hopes. Cairney said: "Our team coach is leaving at 6.45am and it is a really long way to go and not come back with anything particularly at this stage of the season. "We played well in patches against Stranraer in midweek but need to do that for the entire game to be sure of victory against one of the seven sides still in the promotion hunt."

Annan edge thrilling game Annan came out on top of a five-goal thriller to win 3-2 against Elgin at Borough Briggs. The home side started brightly in the opening ten minutes but Annan broke the deadlock on 12 minutes when Sean O'Connor struck left-footed from 18 yards. Elgin pressed on, Mark Nicholson headed wide after a Ross O'Donoghue delivery, and they doubled their lead on 39 minutes as Kevin Neilson found the bottom left of the goal from 12 yards. Annan's Andrew Aitken was dismissed for a bad foul on Elgin's David Gormley two minutes into the second half and it was Gormley who headed home from close range to put Elgin back in contention. Elgin were level after 69 minutes when Craig Gunn slotted home from the centre of the penalty area but Elgin pressed on. When Allan Dempsie put the ball into his own net on 84 minutes, Annan were again back in front and went on to claim all three points.
