Four facing late tests for Elgin Elgin are set to give Ross O'Donoghue, Daniel Moore, Brain Cameron and Craig Gunn late fitness tests before their match against Alloa. Blair Lawrie and Steven Edwards, however, return to manager Ross Jack's squad after missing out when Elgin lost out 1-0 to Stranraer last weekend. Jack said: "This is a game I am really looking forward to as it should be a great game of football. "Alloa have adopted a fantastic passing style and we like to play that way as well and I am hoping that a decent crowd turns up to watch it. "The last time we were at home we lost 3-0 to Clyde and we owe our fans a good performance to make up for that one." Manager Paul Hartley has a fully-fit squad for Alloa. Hartley said: "We will head north with confidence after a good run of form but we know this will be a tough game. "Elgin started the season well and Craig Gunn is the top scorer in the division so it will not just be a case of just turning up and winning the game. "We will look to win the game by adopting our passing game and if we hit the high standards that we have recently then it is a game we can win. "I have 20 players working hard to be in our starting XI so I have tough decisions to make."

Nine-man Alloa hammered by Elgin Nine-man Alloa were made to pay for their indiscipline as they were thrashed 5-0 at Elgin in the Scottish Third Division A period of early Elgin pressure was rewarded after 20 minutes when Daniel Moore's cross was met by Graeme Beveridge, who planted his header into the bottom corner. City further increased their lead three minutes before half-time when David Niven's long punt found Brian Cameron, who beat Scott Bain with a left-foot finish from the edge of the penalty area. Alloa had midfielder Mark Docherty sent off in first-half stoppage time for bringing down Cameron and Stuart Leslie stepped up to confidently convert the resulting penalty. Goalkeeper Bain was next to go, first being booked for fouling Craig Gunn to concede another penalty which Leslie tucked away 10 minutes after the restart and then picking up a second yellow minutes later. Beveridge completed the rout after 77 minutes, finding the top corner from the edge of the area.
