Match Preview
Cawley returns for The Shire East Stirling striker Kevin Cawley returns from suspension for the visit of Stranraer. But defender Alex Walker looks set to miss out again due to a calf strain. The Shire's fine run of five wins in a row has been followed by three consecutive defeats and they will be going all out to end that sequence. Assistant head coach David Nicholls said: "Having Kevin Cawley back is very important to us and if the boys can show the same industry and commitment they did against Queen's Park in midweek we will win more than we lose. "Despite not scoring in three games, we are continuing to create chances and I am sure a goal is not far away and opening the scoring in this game could be crucial for us." Second-placed Stranraer will be without midfielder Steven Noble and striker Michael Moore through injury for the clash with East Stirling. Manager Keith Knox rates their opponents highly despite their recent slump in form and is anticipating a tricky test. Knox said: "East Stirling pass the ball really well and keep possession away from you for long periods, especially on their home pitch. We have to stop them doing that and ensure it is what we do that matters in the game. "We did not play at our best on Tuesday at Albion but hung in there and picked up a last-minute winner. If the players can show that same attitude for the remainder of our games we will be successful this season."

Match Report
Stranraer crank up the pressure with win Stranraer closed the gap on Third Division leaders Arbroath to just a point by winning 2-0 at struggling East Stirling. A goal in each half from Scott Agnew and Armand One kept the visitors' promotion bid on track as the hosts slumped to a fourth consecutive defeat in which they have failed to score. Agnew put Stranraer in front four minutes before the break, firing home from 12 yards after Stuart McColm's header fell nicely for him. One almost doubled their lead after 64 minutes but Michael Andrews produced a fine save to keep out his close-range header. The home side were unlucky not to be level 14 minutes from time when Kevin Cawley's strike rattled the post. But One sealed the points 10 minutes from time when he was on hand to convert from close range after a corner from Agnew led to indecision in the East Stirling defence.
