Jackson absent for the Shire Steven Jackson misses out for East Stirling when they host Peterhead. The defender will serve a suspension as John Coughlin's side go in search of only their fourth home win of the season. Ahead of the game Coughlin said: "I watched Peterhead on Tuesday night and they ground out a win at Berwick. "They have Rory McAllister to add back into that pool so they are very strong opponents, but our home form has been good recently. "We are competing well in all our games now after a slow start to the season and we have not given up hope of getting off bottom spot. A win in this game would certainly help us increase our ambition in that area." Meanwhile, Stuart Beveridge has left the club to concentrate on his university exams. Peterhead are boosted by the return of Rory McAllister. Forward McAllister is available again after serving a suspension and he is likely to go straight back into the starting XI. However, it is not all good news for manager Jim McInally as Paul Jarvie, Scott Ross, Martin Bavidge, Ross Smith and David Ross will all miss out and Roy McBain and Jamie Redman are both struggling. McInally returns to face one of his former clubs and he said: "I loved my time as the East Stirling manager and I am looking forward to going back. "They are fast becoming a very well-organised side who are capable of picking up wins regularly, but as much as I like their supporters I am hoping they are disappointed after this game. "We were a bit fortunate to win at Berwick in midweek but I will gladly take another three points from this game."

East Stirling run riot against Peterhead East Stirling produced a scintillating first-half performance on their way to a 6-3 win against a stunned Peterhead. Peterhead scored within a minute through a curled Graeme Sharp effort from just inside the box. Then came the onslaught from East Stirling, Michael Hunter rifling the equaliser home from 25 yards before Rhys Devlin's shot crept in at the near post for the lead. A Ryan Strachan handball allowed Alexander Lurinsky to slot home a penalty before Scott Maxwell's stunning 35-yard strike and an Andrew Stirling header gave the home side a 5-1 lead at half time. Peterhead responded after the break as Callum MacDonald tapped in a Bryan Deasley cross and Roy McBain lobbed over Calum Antell to make it 5-3. Maxwell was then dismissed for two yellow cards to give Peterhead further hope of a comeback but MacDonald's reckless foul on Hunter saw him receive a red card and evened the sides out again. Stirling scored the resulting free-kick to round off a remarkable match.
