Match Preview

Pars welcome cup finalists to town Dunfermline will look to maintain their position at the top of the First Division by seeing off Ross County, however manager Jim McIntyre has ruled out four players for the clash at East End Park. Defenders Neil McGregor, Jack Ross and Austin McCann are all injured with midfielder Alex Burke joining them on the sidelines. Winger David Graham is available and midfielder Nicky Phinn survived a training ground scare to be included. Assistant manager Gerry McCabe is looking for the Pars to bounce back following their 2-0 reverse at Queen of the South. He said: "We played okay down at Palmerston but gave away two horrendous goals which is not like us. "They will be on a high after qualifying for the ALBA Challenge Cup final last weekend." Andrew Barrowman and Steven Craig are in Ross County`s squad for the encounter. The strike duo showed no adverse reaction to their comeback game against Partick Thistle last weekend and are expected to feature. Wide man Ian Vigurs starts a two-game ban and will miss out. Manager Derek Adams sends his team to East End Park in search of three points to start propelling his side further up the table. He said: "A win at Dunfermline would be very welcome and allow us to start forcing ourselves into the top half of the table. "Everyone at the club was delighted that we have secured our place in the ALBA Challenge Cup final, however we can put that to bed for a wee while now and start looking to move up the table."

Match Report

McDougall`s late show keeps Pars top Steven McDougall scored a 90th-minute winner to secure Dunfermline a 3-2 home victory over Ross County and maintain their one-point lead at the top. McDougall met Steven Bell's cross to finish left-footed from 12 yards out to keep up Athletic's 100% record at East End Park this season. Earlier, Scott Boyd's close-range finish had given County the lead after 25 minutes but the Pars equalised three minutes later through William Gibson, who finished from 12 yards. Patrick Clarke made it 2-1 to the home side a minute before the break, converting from Andy Kirk's left-wing centre. However, Steven Craig levelled matters three minutes after the restart with a right-footed finish and a draw looked likely until McDougall struck.
