Willis back for Pars Dunfermline welcome back winger Paul Willis to their squad to face Montrose in the Scottish Communities League Cup second round. Willis sat out Saturday's 2-1 win over Airdrie as the club investigated off-the-field issues. Ryan Thomson, who is subject to a separate investigation by the Fife club, is still not available for selection by manager Jim Jefferies. The East End Park boss is looking to build on the two late goals that gave his side a win over the Diamonds, saying, "Montrose will come here and look to make things difficult but we go into the game with the huge lift of turning things around. "If we win this game we start to get a bit of momentum behind us and that will certainly help our new-look squad gel together quicker for the league." Montrose will have Sandy Wood in goal as recent signing David Crawford is ineligible after playing for Stirling earlier in the competition. Midfielder Jamie Winter remains out after recent groin surgery and on-loan Dundee striker Leighton McIntosh also misses out after featuring for the Dark Blues against Peterhead in round one. Links Park boss Stuart Garden said: "We have faced First Division sides already this season and done OK as we beat Cowdenbeath and scored a couple against Raith Rovers. "There is a gap between the leagues but we are going there on the back of a good performance against Annan and if we play at our very best we are in with a chance."
