Riley faces race to be ready Dundee will give winger Nicky Riley a late fitness check ahead of the visit of Livingston. Everyone else in the Dens Park squad is available to manager Barry Smith as they look for revenge following a 4-2 defeat by the Lions back in August. Smith said: "The last time we played Livingston we did not defend properly and they punished us. We have to ensure that we get the basics right this time out as we want to make up for that defeat. "I am hoping that the players take a lot of confidence from playing well against Kilmarnock in the Scottish Cup last weekend. We have played well for most of the season but to match an SPL side shows what we are capable of." Livingston are hoping former Scotland full-back Maurice Ross will return to face hosts Dundee after a calf strain. The Lions' defensive options are stretched as Jason Talbot and Jonny Brown both continue to be ruled out through injury and Cammy MacDonald parted company with the club this week. However, striker Kenny Deuchar returns after a knock. Manager Gary Bollan said: "This will be a difficult game as Dundee have good quality players that are playing well just now. "We need to be at our very best to take anything but I am sure they will also be wary of us after we got a great win over them in the last game."

Match Report

Dundee eye summit bid Dundee closed the gap on Ross County at the top of the division with a comfortable 3-0 win against 10-man Livingston. Ryan Conroy opened the scoring after 19 minutes when he found space inside the box and fired a left-footed strike past Andrew McNeil in the Livi goal. Kenny Deuchar had two great chances to level the scores either side of half-time. His weak header from six yards was easily stopped, while another shot cleared the bar from close range. Deuchar's misses proved costly as Neil McGregor made the points safe for Dundee after 74 minutes when he converted a Conroy cross before visiting midfielder Mark Fotheringham saw red for a second bookable offence moments later. Substitute Nicholas Riley added a third after 82 minutes when he met a Stephen O'Donnell corner with a thumping header.
