Match Preview
Hyde returns for Dundee Dundee welcome back striker Jake Hyde for the visit of Falkirk. Hyde had been sidelined due to a head injury but is available for manager Barry Smith alongside fellow frontman Graham Bayne, who has recovered from an ankle injury. The Dark Blues, who are enjoying their best run of results this season with four wins in their last five games, are fully-fit for the tie and Smith is looking for his men to secure a first win in three attempts over the Bairns this term. He said: "They have beaten us twice but both the games have been incredibly tight. We have dominated parts of both meetings and we have to look to do the same but get the win this time. "Beating the side in second place would be great for our confidence." Falkirk midfielder Craig Sibbald continues to be absent, while defender Thomas Scobbie faces a fitness test ahead of kick-off. The Bairns have been licking their wounds for an extra week following their 3-1 defeat at leaders Ross County a fortnight ago. Falkirk technical director Alex Smith said: "We had been looking to get back to winning ways as soon as possible and not having a game due to the Scottish Cup was frustrating. "This is a similar game to the County one, as we are away from home against a side bang in form, so it will be tough."

Match Report
All the fours for Dundee Dundee grabbed their fourth win on the bounce with and closed the gap on second-placed Falkirk with a 4-2 win. Nicholas Riley produced a perfect cross from the right after eight minutes to tee up Gavin Rae for a simple headed finish, before Jake Hyde reacted quickest to Steven Milne's header hitting the bar to double the lead three minutes later. Falkirk were gifted a way back into the game when Rhys Weston turned into his own goal from Kallum Higginbotham's cross. Dundee restored their two-goal advantage after the break, though, Hyde poking home from six yards soon after Milne had struck the woodwork again with a long-range effort. Jay Fulton gave Falkirk hope once more when a rasping drive found the bottom corner after 74 minutes before Milne grabbed the goal he deserved late on with a tidy strike that sealed Dundee's victory.
