Dundee pair face fitness test
Dundee are looking to make it a magnificent seven games without defeat under caretaker boss Barry Smith when Cowdenbeath visit Dens Park.
The Dark Blues require midfielder Nicky Reilly and striker Sean Higgins to pass fitness tests before they can be included in a squad out for revenge for a 2-1 defeat at Central Park back in September.
Smith said: "We had to grind out a win against Morton at the weekend and I reckon we will require the same application to win the Cowdenbeath game.
"Despite our good run we are not in a position to take anyone lightly and we just need to look back at the score from the last game to see that we need to hit a high level of performance."
Cowdenbeath's injury problems are clearing up with a trio of players available again.
Defenders John Armstrong, Joe Mbu and Kenny Adamson all available to manager Jimmy Nicholl, who has allowed on-loan Kilmarnock defender Steven Old to return to Rugby Park.
Dene Droudge and Danny Mackay remain out with Nicholl looking forward to getting his team together for the first team in over three weeks.
Nicholl said: "Dundee's fitness levels will be better as they have played a game recently but we are looking forward to playing again.
"I will decide my team once I spoken to everyone about their fitness levels as I know we are in for a hard shift. Colin Cameron went to see them play at Morton at the weekend and was impressed."
