Match Preview

Dumbarton duo passed fit Dumbarton midfield duo Alan Cook and Craig McLeish have been passed fit for the visit of league leaders Livingston. Their availability has given Sons boss Alan Adamson a selection headache of the right kind with only defender Paul Nugent unavailable through suspension Adamson said: "This is the first time in my four months in charge that I have had so many players available so it is a nice position to be in. "We are looking forward to the visit of Livingston and the boys are in high spirits after coming back three times against a very good Brechin side in midweek to get a draw." "Livingston are a good footballing side and this should be a good game and one we are confident of taking something from." Livingston are missing only defender Cameron MacDonald for the trip. The in-form Lions moved 13 points clear at the top of the Second Division in midweek following their 3-0 win over Forfar, but there will no complacency according to Gary Bollan. The Livi boss said: "We managed to get a good result on Tuesday, however that will count for nothing against a Dumbarton side that have been going well recently. "We will need to play well to take anything from the game as there is still a long way to go in the season as far as Livingston are concerned."

Match Report

Flying start sees Livi home Second Division leaders Livingston claimed a comfortable 3-0 victory at Dumbarton after a blistering start to the match. The visitors came flying out of the blocks. Craig Barr had a header saved in the first minute, tipped around the post by Stephen Grindley in the Dumbarton goal. And midfielder Keaghan Jacobs gave the away side the lead after five minutes with a neat finish from 12 yards. That advantage was extended just two minutes later when leading scorer Iain Russell grabbed his 15th of the season, smashing the ball into the roof of the net from six yards. The runaway leaders started the second half in similar fashion and almost made it three in the 51st minute but Bobby Barr's right-footed effort was brilliantly parried wide. Substitute Liam Fox came on to score for Livingston with a cool 12-yard strike after 69 minutes to seal a 3-0 win which keeps them 13 points clear at the top.
