Martis worry for Rovers Doncaster will assess defender Shelton Martis ahead of their clash with Reading. The centre-half hobbled off after 75 minutes of Saturday's encouraging 1-1 draw at West Ham with a groin injury and will have a late test, with Sam Hird, Martis' replacement at Upton Park, on standby to start. Striker Habib Bamogo remains a doubt as he is still battling a hamstring injury while the medical staff are still waiting to see how midfielder Martin Woods has reacted to a pain-killing injection in his knee at the end of last week. Brian Stock (groin) remains on the sidelines while George Friend is 10-12 days away from a return following a knee injury. Rovers could move to within a point of npower Championship safety if they win but that will not be easy as third-placed Reading have won their last eight games. Jimmy Kebe could provide some fresh legs for Reading. The Royals are now level on 66 points with second-placed West Ham in the npower Championship table, and the Malian winger's recovery from a knee injury could spark new life in a weary side. Defenders Matthew Connolly (ankle) and Andy Griffin (hamstring) provide some food for thought for Brian McDermott, but the Royals backline has conceded just four goals in 10 outings. McDermott utilised his squad's strength in depth to good effect as substitute Simon Church added gloss to Saturday's 3-1 victory over Leicester with a late goal, and the Wales international could push for a start alongside veteran Jason Roberts. The former Blackburn striker has been instrumental in the Royals' rise to third place, adding four league goals since arriving at the Madejski Stadium in late January.
