Match Preview

Rams looking for Bryson boost Derby hope to have Craig Bryson back in their starting XI when Crystal Palace visit Pride Park. Bryson missed the defeat at Brighton on Tuesday night with a tight hamstring. "It tightened up in training Monday afternoon and the coach journey down to Brighton didn't help but we are hoping he will be fine for Saturday because when he is not in the side we certainly miss him," said manager Nigel Clough. "If he had played and done more damage we probably wouldn't have seen him again this season and we certainly didn't want that to be the case." Fellow midfielders Ben Davies and Tom Carroll and striker Callum Ball are also pushing for recalls. Forward Jamie Ward is closing in on a return after missing six matches with a thigh injury sustained on international duty with Northern Ireland. Wilfried Zaha is still missing from the Crystal Palace squad. The highly-rated winger serves the final game of the three-match ban he received for a red card against Burnley a fortnight ago. Boss Dougie Freedman has an otherwise full squad to choose from following the return to fitness of David Wright, Dean Moxey and Jonathan Williams. Utility-man Wright has recovered from a calf injury and left-back Moxey is fit again after a knee problem, athough neither were involved in Tuesday night's last-gasp 1-0 win over Barnsley. Midfielder Williams did come on as a second-half substitute as he continues to build up his fitness having recovered from the broken leg he suffered in November.
