Match Preview
Bradbrook back for Dartford Conference South minnows Dartford can welcome back Elliot Bradbrook for their FA Cup first-round meeting with League Two high-flyers Port Vale. The midfielder missed last week's 1-1 draw at Lewes with a hamstring injury but is fit and available. Lee Noble replaced Bradbrook at the Dripping Pan and could be the man to make way. Boss Tony Burman has no new injury worries for arguably the biggest game in the club's history. One familiar name in the squad will be Charlie Sheringham, the son of former England striker Teddy who lifted the cup with Manchester United in 1999. "We know it isn't going to be easy but it is all about what happens on the day," said Burman. Port Vale welcome back Anthony Griffith for their tricky trip, with manager Micky Adams promising not to take the Blue Square South side lightly. Midfielder Griffith returns having missed Tuesday`s goalless draw at Burton due to a one-match suspension, and is likely to go straight back into what is expected to be a near full-strength Vale line-up. Adams will not make wholesale changes for the tie as he looks to progress in the competition, promising to give it the club's full attention. The Valiants boss is expecting a tough battle at Princes Park and will be without recent loan acquisition Jake Speight who is ineligible for the encounter. Rob Taylor (hamstring) and Lewis Haldane (ankle) remain long-term absentees.

Match Report
Vale avert Darts shock John McCombe scrambled home a late equaliser to deny Conference South outfit Dartford a place in the second round of the FA Cup and spare Port Vale's blushes in a 1-1 draw. Market researcher Elliot Bradbrook looked to have done enough for the Darts to sink their League Two opponents when he converted Ryan Hayes' 39th-minute free-kick. But McCombe, who had twice cleared Dartford efforts off the line in the first-half, tucked in Tommy Fraser's corner with six minutes left. Danny Harris almost gave the Darts a dream start when he fired past Stuart Tomlinson in the fifth minute only for defender McCombe to hack the ball off the line. The Kent side reached the first round for the first time in 21 years but they dealt comfortably with their League Two opponents in the first half and, after warning strikes from Carl Rook and Paul Goodacre, took a deserved lead. The excellent Hayes curled in a free-kick which skipper Bradbrook fired home from close range for his third goal of the season. Vale boss Micky Adams responded by making three changes after the break and the visitors finally paid off when McCombe headed home.
