Match Preview
Woodall sharp for Daggers Brian Woodall should be back in contention for Dagenham's npower League Two home clash against Rotherham. The club's joint-leading scorer with seven goals this term, missed Tuesday's 1-0 defeat at Torquay due to a recurrence of a recent groin problem. Fellow forward Josh Scott could make his return on the bench having recovered from a knee injury which has kept him out of late. Dominic Green is likely to be missing for a few weeks as he continues to struggle with a groin problem, while the midfielder has also seen a doctor this week to undergo tests on his swollen glands. Peter Gain and Luke Howell (both knee) aim to return in three and four weeks respectively, while Kevin Maher (metatarsal) is set to make his comeback at the start of March. Striker Sam Williams (knee) remains sidelined until the summer. Rotherham midfielder Gareth Evans faces a race to be fit. Evans has been struggling in recent weeks with a thigh problem and missed last Saturday's home defeat to Port Vale but could return to play some part. Manager Andy Scott threatened to make changes after successive home defeats but recent signing Richard Naylor may have to wait a while longer for his first appearance due to the form of central defenders Michael Raynes and Johnny Mullins. Scott Griffiths, another recent signing, was substituted during his debut last week but is expected to resume at left-back. Defender Ryan Cresswell (ankle) and midfielder Mark Bradley (collarbone) are pushing to be included in the squad after recently recovering from injury, but goalkeeper Jamie Annerson and defender Luke Foster (both knee) remain long-term absentees.
Match Report
Second-half show seals points for Daggers Scott Doe's header earned Dagenham a thrilling 3-2 victory over 10-man Rotherham which took John Still's side out of the bottom two. The visitors dominated the first half with Jason Taylor, Lewis Grabban and Alex Revell all forcing saves from keeper Chris Lewington. But Lewington was powerless to prevent the opening goal after 28 minutes as Millers skipper Danny Harrison volleyed home from 20 yards. Daggers were much-improved after half-time and equalised when Michael Spillane's deep free-kick was headed in across goal by Jon Nurse. The home side then took the lead just after the hour mark when Abu Ogogo exchanged passes with Brian Woodall and Ogogo's shot deflected off defender Mark Bradley and wrong-footed keeper Rhys Taylor. Just a minute later, though, Rotherham were level. Scott Griffiths raced down the left flank and crossed for Revell to head past Lewington. But Daggers' winner came with 12 minutes remaining as Doe headed in Cristian Montano's corner at the near post. Rotherham defender Michael Raynes was sent off late on to complete a miserable second half for Rotherham as the Daggers picked up three vital points in their bid to beat the drop.
