Battling Dagenham & Redbridge dug deep to hang on for a vital point against promotion chasing Rochdale at Victoria Road.
Dale dominated the match, and struck first through Kallum Higginbotham before Ben Strevens equalised for Daggers.
The home side started brightly with midfielder Peter Gain thundering in a 15th minute volley from the edge of the box which Dale keeper, Tommy Lee, did well to parry.
Striker Jon Nurse, should have put the home side ahead two minutes later when he blasted high over the bar from six yards, with the goal at his mercy.
Gain forced another save out of Lee in the 18th minute, when the keeper clawed his speculative volley from under the bar after being caught off his line.
Dale hit Dagenham with a sucker punch in the 28th minute when Higginbotham outwitted defender, Anwar Uddin on the edge of the area, before firing past keeper Tony Roberts from close range.
Uddin made up for his error four minutes later when he played Ben Strevens through on goal with an incisive pass, with the striker thundering the ball past Lee to level the scores.
Nurse came close to breaking the deadlock on the stroke of half-time when he leapt highest in the Rochdale box before powering a bullet header straight at Lee.
Dale upped the pressure after the break, with striker, Rene Howe, finding space to hammer a 48th minute strike inches over the bar from 20 yards.
Howe came close again in the 52nd minute, when he forced a good save out of Roberts after latching onto a loose ball in the Daggers box.
Higginbotham should have done better in the 61st minute when he lost marker, Shane Huke, but high and wide when one-on-one with Roberts.
Dale Substitute Chris Dagnall came even closer moments later, when he jinxed through a clutch of Daggers defenders, but Roberts rushed out quickly to block his strike.
The visitors missed a hatful of chances to win the match late on, but Daggers managed to hold on for a deserved draw.
