Match Preview
Still must shuffle pack Dagenham boss John Still is faced with the task of reshuffling his starting line-up for the visit of relegation rivals Northampton. Forward Cristian Montano this week became the latest West Ham loanee to be recalled by his parent club, following the departures of Ahmed Abdulla and Eoin Wearen last week. Montano and Abdulla both started last time out against Rotherham and, with last Saturday's trip to Morecambe postponed due to the weather, Still must now fill two holes in his team against the Cobblers. Strikers Josh Scott and Brian Woodall are both fit but are working on strengthening respective knee and groin complaints which have forced them to the sidelines recently. Luke Howell is back in full training following his long-term knee injury but is still lacking match practice, while fellow midfielder Dominic Green is also back involved with his team-mates but is currently taking things steady after his groin problem. Peter Gain is also making positive steps with his knee injury, leaving just Kevin Maher (foot) and Sam Williams (knee) in the treatment room. Clarke Carlisle is expected to make his debut for the Cobblers. Town boss Aidy Boothroyd managed to pull off something of a coup on transfer deadline day by bringing the experienced centre-half to the club on loan from Burnley for the remainder of the season. Carlisle, who played under Boothroyd at Watford, should go straight into the starting line-up. Striker Brett Williams will also be hoping to make his debut after joining Town on loan from Reading this week. Ben Harding will start his first game as a fully-fledged Cobbler after his loan from Wycombe was turned into a permanent deal. Fellow midfielder Luke Guttridge made his first appearance since rejoining the club on loan against Torquay and he is likely to keep his place in the team. Strikers Akwasi Asante and Saido Berahino have returned to Birmingham and West Brom respectively following the end of their loan spells at Sixfields.
