No Gain for Daggers Dagenham boss John Still will be without midfielder Peter Gain for the visit of promotion-hopefuls Huddersfield. Former Lincoln and Peterborough midfielder Gain will sit out the final game of his three-match ban following his sending-off at Oldham on February 5. Winger Danny Green returned from a suspension of his own in the defeat to Walsall last week, while defender Scott Doe is available after shaking off an arm injury. Striker Josh Scott is out for the rest of the season with a blood clot and central defender Will Antwi overstretched in training this week and hurt his groin. He will be given a late fitness test but is expected to be passed fit. Huddersfield defender Gary Naysmith faces a late fitness test. But leading goalscorer Jordan Rhodes could return to contention following a five-game lay-off due to an ankle injury. Naysmith, sidelined for over five months with a foot problem, returned to the side at the start of February, but sustained a calf injury in the draw at Bournemouth on Saturday. Antony Kay replaced Naysmith at the weekend, but Town manager Lee Clark has the option of recalling Tom Clarke to the starting line-up. Scott Arfield is pushing for a recall after making way for fellow midfielder Joey Gudjonsson, but the Terriers have no other new injury or suspension problems. Long-term absentees Alex Smithies (knee), defender Liam Ridehalgh (glandular fever) and midfielder Damien Johnson (knee) remain sidelined.

Daggers hold Terriers Danny Green's second-half penalty earned Dagenham a vital and unlikely point in a 1-1 draw at home to high-flying Huddersfield Town. The home side were denied a clear penalty for handball against Lee Peltier in the second minute, but from then on the visitors dominated the first half. Their reward finally came after 28 minutes when Joey Gudjonsson picked up a short corner and drilled a shot across goal, where Tom Clarke was on hand to poke home from close range. A penalty was eventually given to the hosts after 58 minutes for handball against Peltier and Green confidently blasted the ball past Ian Bennett. Huddersfield threw everything forward in the final moments in search of a winner and could have earned it on three occasions. However, goalkeeper Tony Roberts was equal to everything thrown at him.
