McCrory doubtful for Daggers Dagenham defender Damien McCrory remains a doubt for the visit of Charlton. The left-back twisted his ankle at Bristol Rovers a fortnight ago and has complained of pain and discomfort in the problem area. The former Plymouth man played in a behind-closed-doors game on Tuesday, but even though he completed the 90 minutes is still unsure of his place as he battles pain. Striker John Akinde is back in training after a long-term groin problem but is not yet ready to make his Daggers debut. Midfielder Solomon Taiwo limped off after just 12 minutes of the draw at Swindon last week with a knock but should be included. Defender Will Antwi is back in full training after a groin problem but will not dislodge Scott Doe and Mark Arber in the centre of defence. Charlton boss Chris Powell could be boosted by the return of several players. Defender Gary Doherty may be fit to return after recovering from a hamstring injury and Joe Ayinsah could also feature after overcoming an ankle injury. Leeds loanee Federico Bessone is back in contention after resuming full training this week. However, the Addicks have six players on loan and only five are permitted in the matchday squad. Johnnie Jackson (Achilles) and Kelly Youga (knee) will both miss out. Goalkeeper John Sullivan is likely to be named on the bench after signing on loan from Millwall on Thursday.

Daggers wound Powell Dagenham & Redbridge put in one of their most impressive performances of the season to continue their recent revival with a 2-1 win over Charlton which increases the pressure on Addicks boss Chris Powell. Coming into the game off the back of a three-game unbeaten run, the home side started in confident fashion with Damian Scannell and Peter Gain going close early on. Just as Charlton threatened to establish a foothold in the contest, Jon Nurse put Dagenham in front with a powerful finish past the stranded Ross Worner after the defence failed to clear their lines. The sold out away end jeered their side off at the interval, but their complaints only grew louder after the break. Another spell of early possession for the home side was rewarded when Scannell cut a ball back to Danny Green and the winger blasted his effort into the top corner of Worner's net. Powell made three substitutions in search of something positive, but Charlton only had an injury time consolation effort from Frank Nouble to show for their efforts, whereas Dagenham continue to climb away from danger.
