Match Report

Yeovil chalked up their first home win of the season at the sixth attempt in a match that brought two of League One's bottom three sides together.

But after coasting into a 2-0 lead, they had an almighty fright when Steve Holland's team came back to equalise.

Justice was done however when Darren Way poked in Yeovil's winner five minutes from the end.

Danny Schofield gave Yeovil the lead on 45 minutes when Andy Welsh dashed down the left and got in a low cross from the byline.

It was a fair reflection of Yeovil's first-half superiority and, when Schofield doubled the score on 66 minutes this time from Paul Warne's pass, they appeared to have the match won.

But first-team coach Steve Holland made an inspired double substitution on 71 minutes.

He sent on Byron Moore and Anthony Elding and within six minutes they had turned things around.

Two minutes after coming on, Moore shrugged off the attentions of Yeovil's young right-back Craig Alcock to fire neatly past goalkeeper Asmir Begovic.

Five minutes later it was Elding's turn to stun the home team as he got down the right and his cross to the far post was hammered home by Shaun Miller.

Yeovil's reply was to send on a sub of their own and he also turned up trumps.

With five minutes to go, Gavin Tomlin in almost his first action got in a perfect cross for Way, who bundled the ball past former Yeovil goalkeeper Steve Collis and in off the far post.

The attendance of 3,536 was the lowest for a Yeovil match in the six seasons since they joined the Football League.
