Connolly worry for Red Devils Crawley will check on Mark Connolly ahead of their opening npower League One game at home to Scunthorpe. The summer signing from Bolton made his debut in Tuesday night's Capital One Cup penalty shoot-out win at Millwall but limped out of the action early in the second half. He was replaced by David Hunt, who will be in line to start at right-back if Connolly is ruled out. New boss Richie Barker has an otherwise full-strength squad but will check certain players to see their exertions over 120 minutes in midweek have taken their toll. Barker is also on the look-out for a new striker but may not be able to bring one in before the weekend. Manager Alan Knill has no new injury or suspension worries and is unlikely to make too many changes, if any, to his side after Tuesday night's remarkable fightback from 3-0 down against Derby. Damien Mozika (ankle) and fellow midfielder Michael Collins (Achilles) remain long-term absentees, but centre-half Niall Canavan returns to contention following international duty with the Republic of Ireland Under-21s. Tom Newey is expected to resume alongside fellow summer signing David Mirfin in central defence, while striker Connor Jennings is pushing for a place in the starting line-up after stepping off the bench to fire a stoppage-time goal at Derby in midweek.
