Match Preview
Red Devils sweating over duo Crawley will hand late fitness tests to Andy Drury and Tyrone Barnett ahead of the clash with Plymouth. On-loan Ipswich midfielder Drury had to come off during the first half of last week's win at Aldershot with a dead leg and striker Barnett was withdrawn due to a hamstring problem, but both have a chance of being available. Midfielder Scott Neilson missed out against the Shots with a shoulder injury but he has been passed fit. Forward John Akinde has pushed his claims for a start by scoring four times for the reserves in midweek. Defenders Dean Howell (calf), Jamie Day (back) and Pablo Mills (ankle) are still missing, although skipper Mills could return next week after six months out. Caretaker manager Carl Fletcher cannot select himself for his second game in charge of Plymouth due to suspension. Fletcher is serving the second match of a three-game ban after his straight red card in the defeat at Southend on September 17, and subsequently will miss out against the Red Devils. Fletcher, who was appointed as the interim successor to Peter Reid following the former Sunderland boss' sacking, has no injury worries. The Argyle manager is likely to start with the same side that gained their first win of the season against Macclesfield last weekend. Meanwhile, Plymouth striker Warren Feeney has been called up to the Northern Ireland squad for his country's Euro 2012 qualifiers against Estonia and Italy on October 7 and 11.

Match Report
Tubbs double sees Crawley climb Striker Matt Tubbs hit a goal in each half to secure a comfortable third successive league win for high-riding Crawley, downing bottom of the table Plymouth 2-0. Tubbs gave Crawley a perfect start in the fifth minute by grabbing his sixth goal of the season from close in following a low cross by Kyle McFadzean. Plymouth came close to equalising two minutes later when defender Curtis Nelson headed a Will Atkinson cross narrowly wide. Tubbs sealed victory on the hour with a left-foot finish into the centre of the goal after strike partner Tyrone Barnett set him up with a headed assist. Crawley dominated for long periods and Tubbs was off target with a near-post header on 18 minutes after Andy Drury delivered a good cross from the left, McFadzean later wastefully shooting over from a good position. Plymouth keeper Jake Cole superbly denied Barnett shortly after the break by tipping his goal-bound header over the crossbar following a cross by David Hunt. An unproductive match for Plymouth, who have now lost five of their six away games, ended when Warren Feeney wasted his chance at a consolation goal in stoppage time by blazing wide when well placed to score.
