Match Preview

James Dance and John Dempster could be handed debuts when Crawley host Derby in the FA Cup third round. Winger Dance and defender Dempster have both made the move from fellow Blue Square Bet Premier side Kettering this week but are available having not featured in the competition for the Poppies.

In a busy weekend, manager Steve Evans also let four players leave the club on loan. Striker Ben Wright has returned from a loan spell at Newport County and will join Hayes & Yeading until the end of the season while defender Danny Hall has joined Forest Green Rovers in a month-long deal.

Winger Chris Flood has joined Blue Square South Dorchester Town and midfielder Steve Masterton has signed for Eastbourne Borough. Defender Adam Quinn has moved to Darlington on a permanent deal as Evans continues to rebuild his squad for a push at promotion.

Midfielder Josh Simpson is cup-tied after playing for Southend in the first round.

Tomasz Cywka is expected to be restored to Derby's starting line-up. The Polish forward is likely to get the nod to replace Conor Doyle, who is away with the United States Under-20 squad for a training camp in Florida.

Former Celtic midfielder Stephen Pearson will play no part against the Blue Square Bet Premier promotion-hopefuls due to a knee problem.

Rams boss Nigel Clough must decide whether to keep the same back four that kept a clean sheet against Millwall last time out or recall Dean Leacock and move Paul Green back into midfield.

Centre-back Jake Buxton returns to the squad after a lengthy injury lay-off, but is expected to be on the bench. Left-back Gareth Roberts is also back in contention after recovering from a calf problem and will compete with Dean Moxey for a place in the starting line-up.

Match Report

Torres strike dumps Derby out Crawley winger Sergio Torres fired in a stoppage-time winner to dump npower Championship side Derby out of the FA Cup and hand the non-league side a maiden fourth-round tie at Torquay following the 2-1 victory. Miles Addison marked his first start after 12 months of injury hell by cancelling out Craig McAllister's first-half opener with a 62nd-minute header. But Derby, who missed a penalty through Kris Commons, saw their hopes of a replay snuffed out in stoppage time when Torres converted Dean Howell's corner to put the Blue Square Premier side through. Commons spurned the perfect chance to fire Derby ahead in the ninth minute when his tame penalty was saved by Michel Kuipers after the Dutch goalkeeper brought down Chris Porter. The Rams were punished 20 minutes later when, with a strong wind at his back, Kuipers sent down a huge clearance that caused chaos in the Derby box and the ball fell to McAllister who fired the Red Devils ahead. Crawley were lucky to reach the break with 11 men on the field when sought-after striker Matt Tubbs escaped with a booking for a two-footed lunge on Robbie Savage. Derby were back level after 62 minutes when Commons went some way to atoning for his earlier miss by curling in a wicked free-kick for Addison to head home - only for Torres to strike at the death.
