Match Report

Coventry City caretaker Frankie Bunn said: "It (the sending off) killed us, but we still made some basic errors and when you are chasing the game against a side as good as West Brom they will punish you.

"We made a sluggish start and allowed AS Roman Bednar around the back of us to get the cross in for the first goal.

"We then clawed our way back into the game and started the second half quite brightly until the red card and that changed the game."

West Brom manager Tony Mowbray said: "It was important just to get back to winning ways after a defeat and a draw in our last two games.

"It was important to address the morale and belief of the players.

"It is about time we got a home draw after having three away draws so far, but you have to take whoever you are drawn against and we could equally get Manchester United or Chelsea.

"I have no preference because what we do now is concentrate on the next game - which is Hull in the league.

"And that is the priority still because we can't let the possibility of getting to the semi-final of the FA Cup ruin our chances of promotion."
