Match Preview
Sweeney could start for Clyde Midfielder John Sweeney could return to Clyde's starting line-up against Elgin after injury restricted him to a substitute role in the 1-0 defeat at Stranraer on Saturday. The Bully Wee welcome back Iain Gray after suspension and manager Jim Duffy will make a late check on Declan Gallacher who played for the first time in three months at the weekend. Despite their defeat, Duffy praised his side and asked for the same again against the in-form Highlanders. He said: "We've had three hard games recently on heavy pitches and the players have worked hard in them all. "There was very little between us and the second-placed side at the weekend so we have nothing to be scared of." Elgin's back-up goalkeeper John Calder has been ruled out of the trip due to an ankle injury. Paul Kaczan and Graeme Beveridge continue to be ruled out with injuries, but manager Ross Jack expects Mark Nicolson and Paul Millar to shrug off niggling problems to feature. The Borough Briggs side are determined to show they can be play-off candidates by winning on the road for only the second time this season. They defeated league leaders Alloa 3-0 on Saturday at their Highland fortress, and Jack is now looking for that form to be displayed in away games. He said: "It's time to start winning games at other grounds. Broadwood is a tough venue and a win would be a really positive result."

Match Report
Elgin hit back for win Elgin scored two second-half goals as they came from behind to beat Clyde 2-1 at the Broadwood Stadium. Chances were at a premium in the first half with neither side able to create any clear-cut chances. Clyde took the lead in fortuitous fashion after 23 minutes when David Niven nodded an Iain Gray cross past his own goalkeeper. The Bully Wee hit back just after the restart as Daniel Moore's stunning free-kick from distance left David Crawford with no chance. And they took the lead immediately. Moore was involved again as his corner was headed home by Mark Durnan. Despite a late surge from the hosts, Elgin held firm to claim all three points. Victory lifts them within two points of the play-off positions with a game in hand on their promotion rivals.
