Match Preview

Bully Wee lose Tully Clyde take on visitors East Stirling without defender Craig Tully. The centre-back has accepted an offer to become part of new Peterhead manager Jim McInally's back-room staff. Pat Scullion returns after a knee injury to make up for the loss of Tully, with Broadwood boss Jim Duffy reading very little into his opponent's lowly position. Duffy said: "I have had them watched and the reports have all said that East Stirling are playing better than their league position would indicate. "Every game in this league is incredibly tight. "They are perhaps lacking a bit of confidence but that can come back with a goal or a win at the right time, so we need to be on our guard." East Stirling will include loan signings Bradley Coyne and Stuart Love in their ranks. Shire boss John Coughlin has brought the duo from St Mirren and Stenhousemuir respectively to bulk up a strikeforce that is missing Jordyn Sheerin through an ankle problem. However, midfielder Scott Maxwell is available after a rib injury. Coughlin said: "It is no secret that we are finding goals hard to come by, and from what I have seen in training, both Bradley and Stuart will give us an increased threat. "Clyde will make things very tight for us but I am hoping that we can do enough both up front and in defence to end this disappointing run of results we are on."

Match Report

Super seven for Clyde Rock-bottom East Stirling's miserable season continued as they were thumped 7-1 at Clyde in the Scottish Third Division. Striker Stephen McDonald's close-range finish gave the hosts the lead after 14 minutes and Gavin Brown made it 2-0 five minutes later with a superb 25-yard curler. John Neill then made it three on 31 minutes, stabbing the ball home from six yards out after the visitors failed to clear John Sweeney's corner. Declan Gallagher nodded Sweeney's cross home on 77 minutes shortly before Michael Oliver drilled a low right-footed effort into the back of the net to make it 5-0. Liam Cusack then scored from close range with an outstretched right-foot just a minute later. Bradley Coyne scored a consolation for the visitors 47 seconds later from the edge of the area before Mark Archdeacon finished the scoring in added time with a low right-footed strike.
