Match Preview

Sawyers returns for Clyde Striker Willie Sawyers has recovered from injury and been recalled to Clyde's squad to face East Stirling. Defender Murray Henderson, who has been absent recently due to work commitments is also available, as is Neil McGowan after suspension. However Kevin Finlayson is missing for the Bully Wee following his dismissal last weekend. Boss Stuart Millar said: "A win would be great for the club but it will not be easy as East Stirling are a good footballing side, but like us have been struggling to score goals. "We were slack defensively against Albion Rovers last week and have worked on improving that area of the team so hopefully we can nick one more than them and get that win." MEast Stirling look set to have the influential Alex Walker available for their trip to Clyde. Walker has overcame a calf problem in time for the clash but Craig Donaldson is in line for a late fitness test to decide his availability. Derek Ure, Craig Tully and Darren Kelly all remain sidelined while Sean Anderson has joined Forfar West End on loan to reduce the options available to head coach Jim McInally. The Shire will travel to Clyde on a high after ending their eight-game run without a goal by thumping four past Forres in the Scottish Cup last weekend. Assistant head coach David Nicholls said: "We finally got a break in front of goal and then the confidence just flowed through the team."

Match Report

Table not looking bonnie for Clyde Clyde lost further ground at the foot of the Third Division as they went down 2-1 to East Stirling. The home side started slowly and found themselves a goal behind inside nine minutes, David Dunn finding the top corner from close range to make it 1-0. Clyde were back on level terms after 20 minutes, though, when Adam Strachan got down the left and crossed into the six-yard box for Stuart Mills, who found the bottom corner. Stirling regained the lead in the 36th minute through Kevin Cawley. Scott Johnson made his way down the left wing before crossing into the box where Cawley was waiting, and he fired into the bottom corner past Jordan Allan.
