Hay suspended for Alloa clash
Clyde captain Paul Hay will miss out against Alloa as the Bully Wee look to stretch their unbeaten run in the league to four games.
The midfielder was dismissed for two bookable offences in the space of six minutes in the goalless draw at Peterhead on Saturday and is suspended for the home clash with the Wasps as a result.
Former Kilmarnock full-back Gavin Brown could return after a groin injury with manager Jim Duffy looking for his men to keep things tight at the back but to improve going forward.
"We have defended well so far this season in the league and this will be tested against an Alloa side that have a number of good football players in their squad," said Duffy.
"Our attacking play needs to get better. The players are working hard but we need a bit more composure to turn chances into goals."
Alloa will be boosted by the return of goalkeeper Scott Bain from suspension.
However, Recreation Park manager Paul Hartley may stick with Craig McDowall after he kept a clean sheet in the 1-0 win against Stranraer.
Central defender Ben Gordon will be absent following his sending off at the weekend as the Wasps look to keep on the coat-tails of Annan at the top of the table.
Hartley said: "The players showed a great deal of fighting spirit to pick up three points without playing at our best. They will need to show that again in abundance against a Clyde side that work incredibly hard."
"This is a big week for us as after this game we face Peterhead away from home so it is a tough schedule."
Holmes comfort for 10-man Alloa
Alloa overcame the first-half sending off of Fraser Forrest to hold on for a 1-0 victory at Clyde and remain on the coattails of league leaders Annan.
Graeme Holmes gave Alloa the lead after just two minutes, mopping up the rebound from close range after Kevin Cawley`s shot had come back off a post.
Cawley threatened on two more occasions before Steven Masterton forced Clyde goalkeeper Filip Mentel to make a parrying save.
Alloa looked comfortable but Forrest, booked after 20 minutes for deliberate handball, received a second yellow card for the same offence 12 minutes later and was sent off.
The chances dried up for Paul Hartley`s team but Alloa were also keeping it tight at the other end.
Mentel saved from Ryan McCord before Clyde had a chance to snatch a point late on, but Jack Sloss shot over from 12 yards out.
