No new worries for Spireites
Chesterfield manager John Sheridan has no new problems as he ponders changes for the visit of fellow strugglers Yeovil.
With the Spireites returning to the b2net Stadium, Sheridan looks set to abandon the 4-5-1 system used during the away games at Rochdale and Brentford last week.
Sheridan accused his side of "going to pieces" after they conceded an 82nd-minute goal to slip to a 2-1 defeat at Brentford. He could recall utility-man Dwayne Mattis, who has been on the bench recently having recovered from an ankle injury.
Centre-half Simon Ford, whose knee problems have been likened to those experienced by Tottenham`s Ledley King, could be fit to return. Midfielder Jamie Lowry, who has not started a first-team game in over two years because of a serious knee injury and more recently a broken toe, could also come into Sheridan`s thinking after regaining his match sharpness with several outings in the reserves.
Midfielders Mark Randall, Mark Allot and Craig Clay and strikers Dean Morgan and Jordan Bowery are also options for the Blues boss, who has signed a goalkeeper and a defender ahead of the game.
With first choice keeper Tommy Lee (groin) still a couple of weeks away from a return, Ole Soderburg has been brought in on a one-month emergency loan from Newcastle to provide cover for Greg Fleming. Meanwhile, Neal Trotman has arrived on loan from Rochdale, with Spireites defender Dean Holden moving in the opposite direction.
Midfielder Andy Williams could make his long-awaited return for Yeovil.
Williams has not featured for the Glovers since August 27 due to an ankle injury, but is in line for a place on the substitutes' bench against the Spireites.
Utility player Max Ehmer returns from a one-match ban for Terry Skiverton's men, but Gavin Williams (knee), Jon Obika (knee), Paul Huntington (dislocated finger) and Steve Maclean are all sidelined.
Full-back Luke Ayling has been handed a further one-match suspension by an FA disciplinary panel following his red card against Leyton Orient and will miss the fixture.
Yeovil are rock bottom of npower League One, and go to the b2net Stadium desperately looking to end a nine-match winless run in all competitions.
Glovers rewarded in basement battle
Bottom club Yeovil twice fought back to earn a 2-2 draw against fellow strugglers Chesterfield.
Jordan Bowery scored his first goals of the season to twice put Chesterfield ahead, but Yeovil levelled through Gavin Massey and Mark Allott's own goal.
Chesterfield had lost their last three home games, but they were in front after four minutes when Bowery pounced after a header from Craig Westcarr had been blocked.
Bowery was denied a second in the 22nd minute by a good save from Marek Stech, who also clawed out Neal Trotman's header, but the visitors equalised through a rare attack in the 29th minute when Edward Upson split the defence to put Massey in for his third goal.
Yeovil started the second half well, but were caught by a long ball in the 55th minute and Bowery lobbed the on-rushing Stech from outside the area to restore Chesterfield's lead.
Stech touched Simon Ford's header on to the crossbar in the 64th minute and Yeovil hit back again when a cleverly-worked free-kick ended with Allott turning the ball in at the near post.
"Are Chelsea right to bring back Jose Mourinho?"
