Match Preview

Gallinagh missing for Robins Cheltenham will be without Andy Gallinagh for the visit of Lincoln as the centre-back starts a month-long spell on the sidelines. Gallinagh, who has played a bit-part role since late November and was an unused substitute in Saturday`s 1-0 win at Port Vale, will undergo a double hernia operation on Tuesday and be missing for around four weeks. But manager Mark Yates has received some good news regarding another of his central defenders in Martin Riley, who is set to return to training on Tuesday after a hamstring injury. The visit of Lincoln is likely to come too soon for Riley and he stands a better chance of being involved in Saturday`s trip to Oxford. The Robins made three changes at Vale Park from the team beaten by Accrington a week earlier, and assistant manager Neil Howarth said: "It's all about the squad and not just about the 11 on the field. "We decided to shuffle the pack for various reasons and the lads who came in all did well. Competition for places is healthy at any club." Mustapha Carayol is a doubt for Lincoln. An injury forced the midfielder off after just 22 minutes of the 4-3 victory at Stockport on Saturday. Imps boss Steve Tilson has two other concerns, with defender Gavin Hoyte still struggling with a hamstring injury and midfielder Clark Keltie still nursing a thigh problem. Goalkeeper Trevor Carson and defender Stephen Hunt made their debuts at Edgeley Park after joining on loan from Sunderland and Notts County respectively. They are likely to retain their places, despite the Imps conceding three goals. Defenders Paul Green and Moses Swaibu, midfielders Albert Jarrett and Scott Kerr and forwards Ben Hutchinson and Drewe Broughton are available for recalls.

Match Report

O'Keefe has Imps on the up Josh O'Keefe's 30-yard wonder goal helped Lincoln claim the spoils and move out of the bottom two with a thrilling 2-1 win at Cheltenham. O'Keefe's strike, midway through the first half, helped the Imps to a two-goal cushion that proved too much for Mark Yates's side. Stephen Hunt struck Lincoln's first goal in the 10th minute, forcing the ball home after Ashley Grimes had headed a corner against the post. After O'Keefe had doubled the lead to compound a miserable start for the home side, Cheltenham slowly clawed their way back into the game, with Frankie Artus reducing the arrears in the 31st minute with a thumping close range header. Cheltenham striker Wes Thomas and midfielder David Bird went close to levelling the scores before the break, while Grimes thought he had bagged another early in the second period only for Danny Andrew to clear his shot off the line. There was also a near miss at the other end when Jeff Goulding pushed the ball wide of an open goal after Thomas had chipped the ball against the post.
