Duffy ready to take on Bulls
Darryl Duffy is set to come into Cheltenham's starting line-up for their npower League Two clash with rivals Hereford.
Duffy has found himself out of the side for the matches against Torquay and AFC Wimbledon, but manager Mark Yates is expected to hand his experienced striker another chance up front this weekend.
Otherwise, the Robins are injury and suspension-free as they look to bounce back from their heavy defeat to Wimbledon last time out.
Yates wants his team to shore up at the back for the visit of the Bulls, who themselves conceded six goals last time out.
"The players have held their hands up for the mistakes and now we have to put things right," Yates told the club's official website.
Joe Colbeck and Jordan Rose are likely to be unavailable for struggling Hereford.
Midfielder Colbeck stepped out for the club's reserves on Wednesday and suffered a recurrence of his recent knee injury, while defender Rose also pulled his thigh.
Both are set to miss out at Whaddon Road as the Bulls aim to bounce back from last weekend's 6-1 home defeat at the hands of Gillingham.
Rob Purdie returned for the drubbing following a thigh injury and will look to inspire United, who have now lost their last three, to a better performance this time around.
Defender Stefan Stam (hamstring) has got a good week's worth of training under his belt but it remains to be seen whether he will feature in any capacity, Benoit Dalibard (hamstring) and goalkeeper Adam Bartlett (thigh) continue to be sidelined.
Bulls and Robins locked in stalemate
Struggling Hereford retained their unbeaten Football League record against Cheltenham as an uneventful derby finished goalless at Whaddon Road.
Bulls boss Jamie Pitman, who saw his side go down 6-1 at home to Gillingham last weekend, will have finished the happier manager as the visitors absorbed considerable second-half pressure to claim a deserved away point - ending a run of three successive defeats.
Cheltenham went closest to forcing a goal in a low-key first half when Hereford skipper Stefan Stam cleared Darryl Duffy's 10th-minute scrambled effort off the line following a Marlon Pack corner.
Sam Winnall's strong run produced the visitors' best chance, but after beating two defenders his angled shot drifted harmlessly wide.
The hosts seized control after the break and a sweeping move ended with Stam making his second last-ditch clearance of the day, this time to deny Josh Low's angled volley.
Hereford's on-loan Swansea keeper David Cornell then produced a diving fingertip save to push the outstanding Pack's cross-shot to safety, before Low missed a glaring chance to open the scoring - the midfielder unable to convert Jimmy Spencer's throughball when one-on one with the Bulls keeper.
