Match Preview
Butland blow for Robins Cheltenham will be without on-loan goalkeeper Jack Butland for their clash with Dagenham. The 18-year-old is away with England Under-21s in Iceland and will therefore be unavailable for the final game of his one-month stay in Gloucestershire, with Scott Brown deputising between the sticks. However, Robins manager Mark Yates is keen on extending Butland's stint at the club and is in the process of negotiating an extension with the youngster's parent club Birmingham. Otherwise Yates is not troubled by either injury or suspension for the game against the Daggers. Darryl Duffy, who scored twice in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy second-round win over Wycombe on Tuesday after coming off the bench, is likely to earn a place in the starting line-up. Meanwhile, a number of players, including Harry Hooman, Brian Smikle and Luke Garbutt, impressed in the success at Adams Park and are in with a chance of retaining their places this weekend. Dagenham boss John Still is set to revert back to his strongest line-up for the trip. Still made five changes to his starting XI for Tuesday's 3-1 Johnstone's Paint Trophy defeat to Southend as he looked to hand some game-time to a handful of players, while also employing a new-look 5-3-2 formation. Fit-again Kevin Maher, Phil Walsh, Billy Bingham, Troy Hewitt and Brian Woodall all came in to replace Oliver Lee, Peter Gain, Damian Scannell, Jon Nurse and Sam Williams, who helped end a run of five successive league defeats with last weekend's 2-1 win against Crewe. Williams, however, missed the JPT tie due to a back injury sustained late on against the Alex and is again expected to sit out at Whaddon Road. Full-back Abu Ogogo will be assessed having missed the club's last two matches with a virus, as will fellow defender Scott Doe after he was forced off at half-time against Southend with a slight knock.

Match Report
Robins rock dangerous Daggers Cheltenham dominated the second half of an entertaining game to claim a valuable 2-1 win over Dagenham through Jimmy Spencer's 48th-minute strike. On-loan Huddersfield striker Spencer had gone close twice in the early stages, without breaking the deadlock. Gavin Tomlin ended a neat Dagenham move by hitting the angle, before the hosts opened the scoring six minutes before the break. Skipper Alan Bennett netted his first goal for the Robins, when he met Luke Garbutt's free-kick to glance a diving header into the bottom corner. However, their lead was short-lived, as Jon Nurse's quicksilver close-range finish brought the Daggers level, after Bennett had blocked Damian Scannell's initial effort. A third goal soon followed, as Spencer restored the hosts' advantage when he fired Marlon Pack's through ball powerfully home. Visiting goalkeeper Chris Lewington was now the busiest man on the field, and he produced brilliant saves to first deny Spencer's header, then a fierce 20-yard drive from Josh Low. Tomlin forced a good low save from Scott Brown five minutes from time, but the Robins held on for a deserved win.
