Match Preview
Middlesbrough go into Saturday lunchtime's game against current Premier League leaders Chelsea with injury doubts over several key players.
Former Tottenham striker Mido was unable to play in Egypt's World Cup qualifier against Djibouti because of a groin strain so Boro boss Gareth Southgate could opt to use Jeremie Aliadiere in attack alongside Afonso Alves.
Tuncay could feature against Chelsea as he continues his recovery from a knee problem while Julio Arca is a doubt with an ankle knock, but Robert Huth is definitely out.
The Germany defender faces around a month out of action due to an ankle injury picked up before the international break.
Captain Emanuel Pogatetz also misses out as he is serving the final game of his three-match suspension following his red card in last month's Carling Cup defeat against Manchester United.
Chelsea boss Luiz Felipe Scolari also has injury doubts over several players as he aims to extend his side's unbeaten start to the Premier League season to eight matches.
Ashley Cole (hamstring), Joe Cole (ankle) and John Terry (back) all missed England's midweek World Cup qualifier in Belarus while Deco (thigh), Ricardo Carvalho (knee), Alex (hip), Nicolas Anelka (leg) all face races against time to face Boro.
In addition, Didier Drogba (knee) is not expected to play again until next month while Michael Essien is sidelined until March with a cruciate knee ligament injury.
Goalkeeper Petr Cech is also a major doubt after missing the Czech Republic's World Cup qualifier against Slovenia on Wednesday with a thigh injury.
Scolari will be keen to replicate the form his side showed in their last game - the 2-0 win against Aston Villa - that was widely viewed as their best display of the campaign.
The Brazilian had said after that sublime performance: "We can now continue from first position in the league, still top in the Champions League and in the next round of the Carling Cup. What more could I want? Nothing."

Match Report
Chelsea maintained their unbeaten start to the season as they cruised to a 5-0 win over a lacklustre Middlesbrough outfit at the Riverside Stadium.
The London side showed plenty of attacking flair but it was not a vintage performance.
The Premier League leaders were missing several injured stars and never got out of second gear against a disappointing home side.
Middlesbrough manager Gareth Southgate must have been bitterly disappointed with the performance of his team.
Boro lined up with five in midfield and Mido as the lone striker, with local hero Stewart Downing making his 200th appearance at the age of 23.
Chelsea welcomed the return after injury of John Terry and there was an encouraging chant of "there's only one England captain" from the visiting fans.
The Blues soon got into their stride and after only 14 minutes Salomon Kalou scored an easy goal after a deflection.
Soon after, home midfielder Gary O'Neil was booked for a foul though the decision was harsh.
Middlesbrough struggled to get into the game and the only surprise of the first half was that Chelsea had only one goal to show for their efforts.
Southgate must have hoped for second-half improvement but Middlesbrough's hopes were dashed with a superb strike by Juliano Belletti from 30 yards.
The power and accuracy of his shot left goalkeeper Ross Turnbull completely helpless and it will certainly be a candidate for goal of the month.
Kalou added a third almost immediately with a shot that struck centre-half David Wheater on its way into the net.
The rout continued as Kalou provided a perfect cross for Frank Lampard to score with a header.
When a Nicolas Anelka shot was fumbled onto a post by Turnbull, Florent Malouda pounced to score an easy goal from close range.
Chelsea were without several stars but they obviously have the strength in depth to mount a serious title challenge this season.
There were empty seats in the stands long before the final whistle as Middlesbrough fans made their way to the exits.
This was one of the Boro's poorest performances in recent years at Riverside Stadium and Southgate faces a tough challenge to lift his players.
