Two minutes of stoppage time will be played - can Chelsea grab another?

With the other games to follow later this afternoon, this win moves Chelsea three points clear at the top of the Premier League table.

The home fans are starting to head for the exits now. It really has been a day to forget for them.

With little under five minutes remaining, the points are well and truly in the bag for Chelsea. This latest win makes it 29 games unbeaten in the Premier League.

Kalou is on the hunt for his third goal, but his chipped effort towards goal goes a couple of yards over the bar. That was an optimistic effort.

Mido finds himself inside the penalty area for the home side, but Alex does very well to stab the ball into the path of his goalkeeper Cudicini.

The resulting free kick is taken by Alves, but after his original effort comes back off the wall, Downing fires comfortably wide.

Downing moves down the touchline and finds Alves, but a Bosingwa foul brings the move to an abrupt end.

Anelka played very well today and was heavily involved in the majority of Chelsea moves. He will be annoyed he didn't grab himself a goal though.

Malouda chips the ball into the path of Kalou, but the striker can't quite time his volley and the attack ends in nothing.

Anelka is played through on goal, but his effort is turned round the corner of the goal by Turnbull - excellent save.

Deco's first touch is a neat pass towards Belletti, but Downing fouls him and it's a free kick to Chelsea.

Lampard was excellent for Chelsea today. He was a constant threat for the away side and pulled the strings throughout.

Yet another counter attack from Chelsea almost results in a sixth goal. Lampard's effort goes into the side netting though.

This time Downing takes the corner short and it falls to Wheater on the edge of the area, but Lampard robs the ball off him.

Mido manages to win a corner for his side and Downing takes it only for Alex to clear the ball away for another corner.

Middlesbrough are cut open yet again, but this time Anelka is in an offside position and the move breaks down. Excellent move though.

Chelsea really are setting the standard in the Premier League right now. This has been a truly marvelous second half display.

That really was a superb goal, although it has to be said that Middlesbrough's defence is looking very, very disorganised right now.

A superb chance for Chelsea to double their lead. After a mistake from Grounds, Malouda somehow manages to put the ball wide. He could of squared it to Anelka there.

It has been a much more energetic start to the second half from the home side - much better.

Downing has made a bright start to the second period, his 25-yard effort goes just wide of the post though.

A very long-range effort from John Obi Mikel is deflected wide, the corner then results in Malouda's shot being blocked by a host of Middlesbrough defenders.

Malouda has been heavily involved for Chelsea, this time he starts a passing move which ends when Wheater bundles away Bridge's cross.

Belletti and Anelka exchange passes well, but whent the ball falls to the latter, he is in an offside position and the move breaks down.

If Luiz Felipe Scolari is to have any concerns about his teams first half performance, it will be that they still only lead by one goal.

Chelsea are continuing to dominate proceedings as they win a corner which is taken by Lampard. The ball falls to Malouda at the edge of the area, but his ambitious effort goes high and wide.

Kalou looks to find Malouda with a long ball, but Grounds reads the situation well and intercepts the ball. Attack over.

Patient build up play from Chelsea results in an eventual clearance by David Wheater just as Kalou looked to get a shot at goal.

You get the feeling that it is very important Middlesbrough go into the break without trailing by more than one goal. It will be very difficult for them to come back from 2-0 down.

Chelsea break straight away and Florent Malouda finds himself through on goal, but from a tight angle - he drags the ball wide.

Downing wins a corner for his side and when the ball finds him from the set-piece, he misses it and fails to get a shot away.

Jonathan Grounds knocks the ball in, but it is easily headed away. Awful attempt to get the ball into the danger area.

Ironic cheers from the home crowd as they watch their side win a free-kick. Can they make anything of it?

If things remain the way they are, Southgate will have to make changes at half-time. Middlesbrough have offered very little going forward.

Half chance for Kalou to double the lead results in him firing a shot comfortably into the arms of Ross Turnbull.

A neat Chelsea passing move is brought to an end by Downing's tackle. He has to concede a throw in through and his side are very much under pressure.

Juliano Belletti makes a rare run forward for the visitors, but his pass searching for Nicolas Anelka is overhit and the move breaks down.
